Over the past few years, Brianna Wiest has gained renown for her deeply moving, philosophical writing. This new compilation of her published work features pieces on why you should pursue purpose over passion, embrace negative thinking, see the wisdom in daily routine, and become aware of the cognitive biases that are creating the way you see your life. Some of these pieces have never been seen; others have been read by millions of people around the world. Regardless, each will leave you thinking: This idea changed my life.

Just lists, NOT essays
Revisado: 11-30-23
It’s pretty thought provoking at times but overall, it isn’t what I expected. I like using lists in my daily life but not listening to them in an audio book. Some list points are elaborated and some are just read with no explanation. The book should be called “101 Lists…” not 101 Essays, which could have 51 not 101. By Chapter 23, some points had already been repeated in a different list. Also, I don’t appreciate the bit of profanity sprinkled throughout book. Most of us read these kind of books to be inspired, to stay positive. I think curse words/profanity illicit feelings of frustration and anger. I don’t want to feel that way, even a tiny bit, when I’m reading a self-help book. Narrator did the best job she could, considering she mostly read a bunch of lists. I liked her voice, it was calming.

Historia
The strategy of the enemy is to put distance between us and the people we love the most, one offense at a time. UnOffendable is an outline of how God can use the things in life that have hurt us the most, to shape our confidence and help us become the people we've always wanted to be. Being unoffendable isn't about never getting offended. It's about not staying offended.

A must read for anyone, especially if you get offended alot
Revisado: 05-30-22
Its short and to the point. It has Biblical references, but I think it’s written in a way for anyone to relate because of the life examples. I, myself, appreciated the Bible verses but there aren’t a lot so I don’t think it would be overwhelming for anyone else. The author narrates himself and his voice was very engaging. This book was so helpful for me and I can truly say… I am not offendable (not anymore!!)

The narrator made so many mistakes and he should’ve been made to correct them before publishing. I liked his voice but it seemed like he was bored reading most of the time. The content was really good though. I’m going to buy the hard copy version as well.

Perfect for anyone needing advice/tips for managing life with ADD/ADHD
Revisado: 11-12-21
I loved all of the examples in this book. It’s the best book I’ve ever read for organizing my things and my life! I also have the hard copy. I’m going to listen to it again and highlight/tag certain parts in the hard copy book so I can reference them and make note cards. My son and daughter were both diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and I heard so many helpful solutions for us in this book. Also get The Adult ADD Solution by George Sachs. That’s another good one!!

Loved it! Very motivating and helpful! A must-read!
Revisado: 06-14-21
This is a must-read for anyone looking for motivation and solutions to get themselves organized. It’s even helpful by giving solutions to live in harmony with other people that organize different than you. Ever had someone throw away your pile of papers that weren’t actual trash? Ever have a perfect organizing system set up that no one in your house follows but you? She explains the reasons why perfect organization systems don’t work for everyone. I plan to buy the hard copy book as well. Doing the “Clutterbug” test would be a lot easier with hard copy book but you could always take the test online for free.

Such a great motivation book!!
Revisado: 08-13-20
The first 8 or 9 chapters didn’t really move me and I started to give up but I’m glad I continued on. This book was so helpful and motivating!! It didn’t have as much Bible verses as some of her books though. I was highly suggest this book for anyone that feels stuck and needs motivation to move forward in their life. This is the perfect book If you need motivation to get past something or if you need courage to start or finish something.

Very helpful book for anyone in my opinion
Revisado: 08-07-20
This is by far the BEST self-help book I’ve ever read. It’s considered a “religious” book and has a lot of Bible verses to guide her points which I like. She explains how God wants us to heal so we can live our best life. She tells her personal story of healing throughout the book which I liked. She doesn’t just talk about her healing though. She also explains HOW we can heal our emotional wounds. I’m buying the hard copy version to keep on my bookshelf and show people.

Many great insights and suggestions
Revisado: 05-25-20
This book is great for people who experience others ending their conversations early or abruptly changing the subject. It bothers me when people are engaged in a conversation with me but then end the conversation earlier than I expected or they change the subject abruptly. Now I know why it happens so I can have better conversations with people.

Awesome insight! Great narrator too!
Revisado: 04-06-20
I give this book a complete FIVE stars!! He spent the bulk of the book explaining the benefits of meditation, which is what I needed to hear. It’s really geared towards motivating you to meditate and not give up on it. The last chapter details how to meditate which seems pretty simple. Sticking with it is the hard part so I enjoyed hearing all of the benefits and real life examples of Russell Simmons’ life. The last chapter explained how to meditate very well. It’s the last piece of the puzzle that I needed to move forward in my life. I truly believe healthy eating habits, consistent and restful sleep, regular exercise (for me, it’s walking), and MEDITATION will change my life for the better. I feel so motivated after reading this book!! The narrator read the book very well too. I listened to the whole book at once (with a few interruptions.). It was very engaging for me!!
