Great novel & narrator but sound is horrible

Audible needs to remaster the sound if this narration. Narrator does a great job. The recording is muffled & hard to hear. Had to completely take any bass sound out of speakers & still had to really focus on what the syllables were. Too bad, as the novel is excellent as all of Anne Rice’s books are.

Jim’s narrator not the same

Jim’s narrator’s voice is not the same lovable dog voice as portrayed in previous books. Instead, sounds bratty & obnoxious. Takes away from the writer’s story & this character’s comical lovable dog persona.

Probably the best fantasy romance book I’ve read in a long time! Very well written with unexpected plot twists tying together suspensefully without gaps. Started off slow, giving vital time to color in each character for emotional attachment to the reader Then catapulted into fight scenes & crescendoed into rabbit hole of a complicated heart-clenching love story (& sex scenes!). Can’t wait to start the sequel!

Although not advertised on Audible, but is another book of Boston Belles. As I read the past books of this series, I was curious of the mysterious English guy & hoped Shen wrote a story of him. This is it & I’m so glad I read it. Love it!!

The male Narrator’s voice for the male characters sounded B rated. This series is my favorite of all of Breene’s well written books. Breene is an amazing writer. The narrator can make or break a story. This narrator made it difficult for me.

So glad she’s back & sharing her talents! Loved Munro. The whole story was full of adventure & romance. I laughed at Lothaire’s interactions with all of Cole’s characters. And Petkoff’s voice brought them all back to vibrant life once again. Looking forward to more visits into Cole’s worlds as she creates them. “Good things come to those who wait.”Munro was worth the wait!
