Historia
As a psychic, seeing ghosts is routine for Lili. She isn't surprised to discover spirits lurking in the renovated paper mill where she just bought an apartment. What she doesn't expect is the dark, sinister presence under the floor and the serial killer who is prowling about the mill. When a woman is found murdered and another goes missing, Lili tries to work with one of the spirits—a young girl long dead—to expose the psychopath. But not everyone can be trusted, and soon, Lili fears the killer will flee, never to be found and free to strike again.

Part ghost story, part crime thriller... The situations were fantastical, but at the same time written in a very grounded, realistic way. Overall it was something different and the story kept me engaged.

Historia
Leading a cultural revolution driven by identity politics and so-called 'social justice', the new puritanism movement is best understood as a religion - one that makes grand claims to moral purity and tolerates no dissent. In The New Puritans, Andrew Doyle powerfully examines the underlying belief-systems of this ideology and how it has risen so rapidly to dominate all major political, cultural and corporate institutions. He reasons that, to move forward, we need to understand where these New Puritans came from and what they hope to achieve.

Exceptional dissection of woke ideology
Revisado: 01-08-23
Using the analogy of the puritans and the Salem witch trials, the author breaks down in an extremely logical way the extreme and ultimately "faith based" propositions of the illiberal far left, while also making a case for rational discussion and a return to genuinely liberal, fact based critical thinking. A small criticism might be that it drags a bit in the middle, but overall a great book.

Historia
In The War on the West, Douglas Murray shows how many well-meaning people have been fooled by hypocritical and inconsistent anti-West rhetoric. After all, if we must discard the ideas of Kant, Hume, and Mill for their opinions on race, shouldn’t we discard Marx, whose work is peppered with racial slurs and anti-Semitism? Embers of racism remain to be stamped out in America, but what about the raging racist inferno in the Middle East and Asia?

Revisado: 10-15-21
As a beginner studying Mandarin this audiobook is excellent. Listening to this book a few times along with reading the corresponding paperbook has done wonders for my Chinese. It teaches you useful vocabulary in a way you naturally remember. This company has some other audiobooks for their graded readers and I hope they make more - I plan on working through all of them. 谢谢!

Fills in a lot of gaps from the TV show, and the characterers are great. The narrator also hits it out of the park. I can't imagine anyone else doing this book.

Historia
As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

fantastic production, decent story
Revisado: 07-05-19
The quality of the voice acting and sound effects was top notch, especially the lead actress who does an imitatoon of Sigourney Weaver so perfect I had to double check that it wasn't actually her. The story was decent, if somewhat predictable.
