What a dark and beautiful story

Big Warning For Those Triggered By Swallowing/gulping

I'm only halfway through this book, but the narrators (mainly the guy) is triggering my anxiety with his loud swallowing to the point where I can't tune it out. Also, the MFC narrator pronounces words odd (terror=terrain horror = horrah) it's odd. I'm pushing through all of this for the story itself, but the narrators are really a buzz kill. I may just need to actually read it.

Ugh I Read TOO Fast

The beginning threw me off with the "flashbacks", as I didn't always process they were happening when they did. Once I got past that, I really enjoyed this story. I can't wait for the next one! I'm convinced Haidyn is my new favorite, but I say that with each new Lord 😅

The narrators are great and the story is fun and the dark. The back and forth narration was so much more natural even though the chapter pov changed between characters, both actors were involved.
