Too long
Revisado: 12-09-23
This book is not up to the usual Horowitz standard and is just rambling along so much with a book within a book within a book that I lost interest in the plot and just wanted Susan to get on with it and come to a conclusion.

Historia
Most of the world remembers Crazy Horse as a peerless warrior who brought the U.S. Army to its knees at the Battle of Little Bighorn. But to his fellow Lakota Indians, he was a dutiful son and humble fighting man who, with valor, spirit, respect, and unparalleled leadership, fought for his people's land, livelihood, and honor. In this fascinating biography, Joseph Marshall, himself a Lakota Indian, creates a vibrant portrait of the man, his times, and his legacy.

Just finished listening to an outstanding telling of the life of Crazy Horse. A hero but a man most of all who followed the teachings of his people. The narration was perfect.

Where is she?
Revisado: 09-13-23
This is a long book and at the beginning it’s hard to know where it’s going. It is annoying and strange and feels like the character Erin has been transported into a game of some sort with levels and monsters and exploding things. It gets better as it progresses and at the end you want to find out how it carried on.

Historia
When a worker goes missing from a North Sea gas platform, there seem to be just two possible explanations - it was a tragic accident or a suicide. It does not take Smith and his detectives long, however, to discover that James Bell led a double life back onshore in Kings Lake, a life complicated enough to make him at least one dangerous enemy. Before the case can be unraveled, Smith must get a new team working together.

A huge mansion at a bargain price. What’s not to love. It has a history and ghosts. The latest family take a chance but from the start during renovations there are problems. We get a glimpse of all the families that have lived here during the lifetime of the house and they all have issues. It was an enjoyable listen and was very well narrated. A definite 4 star.

A triller that kept me listening into the night. A broken family, the Vietnam war, a killer on death row and another that should be there. Some unbelievability but overall a great listen.
