Historia
With the failure of Hadley's Hope, Weyland-Yutani has suffered a devastating setback - the loss of the Aliens they aggressively sought to exploit. Yet there's a reason the Company has risen to the top of the food chain. True to form, they have a redundancy already in place: the facility known as "The Cold Forge". Remote station RB-232 has become their greatest asset in weaponizing the Xenomorphs. However, when Dorian Sudler is sent to RB-232 to assess their progress, he discovers that there's a spy aboard - someone who doesn't necessarily act in the company's best interests.

Historia
It is the autumn of 1910, and for 15 long years, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson have battled R’lluhloig, the Hidden Mind that was once Professor James Moriarty. Europe is creeping inexorably towards war, and a more cosmic conflict is nearing its zenith, as in a single night all the most eminent members of the Diogenes Club die horribly, seemingly by their own hands. Holmes suspects it is the handiwork of a German spy working for R’lluhloig, but his search for vengeance costs an old friend his life.

Historia
It is the spring of 1895, and more than a decade of combating eldritch entities has cost Dr. John Watson his beloved wife Mary, and has nearly broken the health of Sherlock Holmes. Yet the companions do not hesitate when they are called to the infamous Bedlam lunatic asylum, where they find an inmate speaking in R’lyehian, the language of the Old Ones. Moreover, the man is horribly scarred and has no memory of who he is. The detectives discover that he was once a scientist, a student of Miskatonic University, and one of two survivors of a doomed voyage down the Miskatonic River.

I am a big fan of HP Lovecraft work. I'm also a big fan of Sherlock Holmes. to me this is a great matchup. Nice to see Sherlock Holmes out of his element and how he deals with things. but if there's anyone who could take on the old gods and keep their mind still intact. To me it has to be Sherlock Holmes. it's also nice to hear alternate stories about classic stories. the one of the problems I have with Lovecraft is that sometimes his protagonist can be really unlikable. so it's nice to actually go along a story with a likeable protagonist.
The one thing that kind of threw me off the story. I could kind of believe that this was written by HP Lovecraft all the way up until the part were the African-American was introduced and his treatment. Let's be honest HP Lovecraft would never give so much of praise to an African-American. I'm an African-American myself. So I'm not being racist just pointing out.

Plato was the first great philosopher of the West to organize and record the issues and questions that define philosophy. A student of Socrates, Plato preserved the teachings of his mentor in many famous "dialogues" that deal with classic issues like law and justice, perception and reality, death and the soul, mind and body, reason and passion, and the nature of love.

Historia
On a freezing February day, a stranger emerges from out of the gray to request a room at a local provincial inn. Who is this out-of-season traveler? More confounding is the thick mask of bandages obscuring his face. Why does he disguise himself in this manner and keep himself hidden away in his room? Aroused by trepidation and curiosity, the local villagers bring it upon themselves to find the answers.

Never have I felt so much anger for a protagonist than I have in any other book than this one. If you can call him a protagonist. I relate to his anger and his rage on wanting to be left alone and people intruding into his privacy and spreading gossip about him. Even though time and time again he's asked them to leave him alone. if you ever had a nosey neighbor or landlord then you will no where is rage comes from.

High school graduate here. I only graduated with my GED and high school diploma. This is definitely up there with one of my favorite stories ever. I am a big fan of Sherlock Holmes. I'm also a big fan of HP Lovecraft. his work not the person. I just have to make that clear. but to me this is a perfect match up. don't. I kept thinking. If anybody can come through this unscathed it's has to be Sherlock Home. I thought the characters were well-developed. the problem I have with HP Lovecraft is that his characters can be a little daunting to deal with sometimes with their pompous attitude . All in all I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to finish the rest of the books.
