I Can Breath Now
Revisado: 10-27-23
I’ve been holding my breath since The Ballad of Never After left me with my jaw on the floor and now that I’ve finished this series I can happily say I’m satisfied with the conclusion. All three of these books are so much fun and whimsical and this is one of my favorite fantasy series to date. I also loved getting to know Jacks and Apollo a bit better in this book by getting their perspectives. Can’t wait to see what adventures Stephanie Garber has in store for us in the future!

Historia
The kingdom of Kandala is on the brink of disaster. Rifts between sectors have only worsened since a sickness began ravaging the land, and within the Royal Palace, the king holds a tenuous peace with a ruthless hand. King Harristan was thrust into power after his parents’ shocking assassination, leaving the younger Prince Corrick to take on the brutal role of the King’s Justice. The brothers have learned to react mercilessly to any sign of rebellion - it’s the only way to maintain order when the sickness can strike anywhere.

This book is a true treasure
Revisado: 09-06-21
In a word, this book is a masterpiece. From the beautifully flawed characters to the brutal battles, this story took me on an emotional journey through love and loss in a fascinatingly magical world. ML Wang masterfully played my heart-strings like an expert musician - I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I melted. I lived with the characters and I cared about what happened to them. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the story, even through the scenes that were not traditional action. Basically, there is nothing I didn’t like about this book. I will definitely be enjoying this book again in all its formats, but Andrew Tell’s narration was absolutely brilliant and brought so much life to the story. Looking forward to revisiting this world and seeing what ML Wang creates in the future.
I’m conclusion, a note to the author - Dear ML Wang: More. Please and thank you!

All the feels and a mostly satisfying conclusion
Revisado: 01-30-21
Thoroughly enjoyed this series even if I found some of the characters to be a bit grating. I loved getting the perspective of all four main characters in this book. Kemmerer brought so much life and emotion to each of these characters and told the story in a way that nearly had me in tears at multiple points throughout the book. The ending did feel a bit rushed and I was left wanting a tad more to wrap it all up, but overall loved this conclusion and the series as a whole is an entertaining indulgence!
