Not what I’m used to hearing from Robinson, maybe I’m spoiled from hearing RC Bray’s performing his work. I’m sure this narrator is excellent but his reading didn’t keep me interested, I didn’t even finish it. I’ll probably use as a background sound when I’m working around the house.

Painful to listen to

I enjoy the Series but this would have been so much better if there were better actors. Bray, Quinto are great, as usual and hell I even enjoyed the alien voice actors but the others….
They were AWFUL, it sounded like an armature commercial read. So many other great narrators or actors could have made this so much more enjoyable and done the series proud. Don’t waste the credit, it will probably be included with membership like all the others you purchase months before.

Good for a one time ride

Book had its moments of being drawn out but overall decent story one time ride maybe , maybe a book 2. I don’t think I could do more than 2. Bray was great as always.

Story was a alternate G.E story. The character profiles were pretty much the same even the ship’s name was just missing a number.
I did very appreciate the author’s message and commend him on his journey and bravery to speak and advocate help for a very serious health condition. Especially during these times.
If you have never read a Galaxy’s Book or new to this genre , then this is a good book to start with and expand.

um. What the hell did I just listen too?? and why?

I tried...really, really tried to get into this story. I was excited for this, but what a giant let down. Had it on my wish list and everything, but this was PAINFUL but I stuck with it out of my enjoyment of Mr. Robinson's other works that I own. This was like having too much NyQuil, sick in bed on a Saturday watching creature double. Narration was monotone and dry, characters didnt separate expect for a couple of lines here and there. And the prologues and Epilogues..really...really? So disappointed, really hoped for something amazing and gripping. At one point I was ready to stop but mid way but I had to see if there was any light at the end of the tunnel, and there wasn't. Sorry folks.

Kind of disappointed ,from the reviews I read I was expecting more. Bray is always good, if not great in these types of novels, but the characters were bland and really didn't put his talents, I think to great use. But it killed some travel time so give it a try.

Bring on Book 2 !!!

Very entertaining ,quick witted and action filled. Great storyline on mythology and character plot should definitely be a series. Mr. Robinson's talents shine and Mr. Bray's performance was excellent. Being a New Englander and knowing the landmarks in downtown made the action sequences more enjoyable. Get it you won't be disappointed.
