Revisado: 08-16-23
I learned a lot of little facts from Black History. Kevin did a great job explaining it in detail. I love how he involved his kids in the conversation. I give this book 5 stars. It’s an hour long and great for long drives on the road. I recommend this book!

Closure. Thank you!
Revisado: 06-25-22
After having a breakup 6-months ago with my first love who graduated from West Point Military Academy. I realized that after the relationship ended - I really didn’t know anything about the academy. All I had were photos of the ring, yearbook, and more. I was blind-sided and searching for answers to figure out what happened during my exes years at West Point.
I took it upon myself to learn about the academy to find some answers behind this broken heart of mine. Not only did Preston’s story bring a smile to my face that I hadn’t had in months. I felt like I was walking beside Preston every step of the way learning about West Point. Not only did Preston explain everything. But it did give me some light hearted revelations about the behaviors at the academy. Everything made perfect sense to me with my exes behaviors and I was able to find the closure that I needed.
If I didn’t find this book I think I would have been searching for any book on West Point to learn of the academy and the mental breakdowns our cadets go through. I give this book 5 stars and I know I will listen to this again.
Thank you Preston for sharing your story. I know your book will help a lot of people learn about this great academy.

Historia
More than 30 years after his landmark book Evolution: A Theory in Crisis (1985), biologist Michael Denton revisits his thesis about the inability of Darwinian evolution to explain the history of life. From the origin of life to the origin of human language, the great divisions in the natural order are still as profound as ever, and still unsupported by the series of adaptive transitional forms predicted by Darwin. Denton makes a provocative new argument about the pervasiveness of nonadaptive order throughout biology, order that cannot be explained by the Darwinian mechanism.

This Book Automatically Played When I Was Asleep
Revisado: 10-29-21
I didn't have this book in my library. Just finished writing a thesis on race in my Cultural Anthropology class. I fell asleep listening to Darwin's House of Cards. Woke up to the first chapter playing. I picked up my phone because I had an open mind of what I was hearing. I turn on the phone and see this book playing. I think God in a way had this book revealed to me. Because as a Darwin supporter, I was defending race for science giving evidence that it is biological and not just a social construct. I give this book 5 stars and if this book found its way to you. Listen to it and take in the evidence.

Historia
It's every novelist's greatest fear: pouring their blood, sweat, and tears into writing hundreds of pages only to realize that their story has no sense of urgency, no internal logic, and so is a page-one rewrite. The prevailing wisdom in the writing community is that there are just two ways around this problem: pantsing (winging it) and plotting (focusing on the external plot).

Before You Send That Query, Read This Book!
Revisado: 07-28-21
I wish I didn't hit send on about 40 queries last year. I sent off my novel to literary agents and received rejections without knowing what was missing. When I listened to this book, everything I wasn't supposed to do, I did.
Now, after listening...I have a better understanding of the craft of writing fiction stories. I encourage other writers to please read this book before you send that query letter. It will save you a chance of representation! Believe me Lisa Cron's books are worth every advice that you will not get out of that Writer's Digest Conference.

It was ok until...
Revisado: 06-26-21
This is a short novella and it had a good plot. What I didn't like was the reference to Covid-19. It was strange to hear it in a fiction story. I think if another disease or a made up illness would've made this story more interesting. Also, the credit card scam felt confusing. There wasn't clarity on if she was guilty or not. Cody, the son, pops in and out of the book and I didn't know if he liked school.

Incredible!
Revisado: 06-04-21
This story had me believing that this is a true story and people are being exposed by a psychic.
I was listening to it while playing a video game on my PS4 and I stopped playing just to look up this book and do research. It was that believable! Even though this is a playwright or a simple psychic thriller. I was literally, no joke, on her side if this was a true story. I recommend to listen to this only to hear the truth about social media. With what was said in this book is accurate and I am thinking about getting off of it myself.
