Historia
Two days after a megaquake and tsunami combine to wreak havoc on the Pacific Northwest, Clint and his daughter are together at last. Instead of retreating to safety, they're on a one-way mission into the heart of the disaster. Chaos on the streets, impassable routes, and the worst of human nature combine to thwart them at every turn. But Mika's mom is missing, and they won't stop until they find her.

Sorry. I don’t usually write negative reviews. But the characters in this storyline were absolutely annoying and unrealistic. I’ve read two of the three and will not subject myself to the third.

Historia
In Age of Myth, fantasy master Michael J. Sullivan launched audiences on an epic journey of magic and adventure, heroism and betrayal, love and loss. Now the thrilling saga continues as the human uprising is threatened by powerful enemies from without—and bitter rivalries from within. Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but long-standing enmities dividing the Rhunes make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods?

EVERYTHING MICHAEL SULLIVAN
Revisado: 10-05-23
I am literally on my second time of going through all 15 of Michaels books associated with this series. I started with the Ryria chronicles, Ryria Revelations, then to the later published Legends of the First Empire and finally to the final 3 books of the Rise and Fall. Anyone not familiar with Michael’s work is in for a treat. I was a little concerned that the second time through the books might feel redundant. But not so. I don’t reread books. Ever. But I have been just as absorbed and engrossed in the world he has created as I was the first time around. I will be a fan for as long as he puts pen to paper. I would advise reading the Legends of the first Empire first, then the Rise and Fall before going into the Ryria series only to have the time frame flow. Each series stands well on their own. But you will understand certain historical references in the latter books better. Treat yourself with this and each of his books.

And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods? The answer lies across the sea in a faraway land populated by a reclusive and dour race who feel nothing but disdain for both Fhrey and mankind.

Historia
Orcs, an ancient fiend thought lost to history, have risen from The Under Realm. Their hunger for total dominance has plunged Illian into war, pushing the survivors to Namdhor, the last refuge of man at the top of the world. For those who stand up to this foe, they do so in darkness. Ash clouds smother the skies, blocking out the sun as the orcs rampage across the land.

Tambre
This series is absolutely equivalent to Wheel of Time, Game of Thrones, House of Dragons, Carnival Row, or Rings of Power. I’m glad that the series itself is long enough to keep going. The plot keeps morphing with more and more intrigue. Is the evil villain really a good guy? I could SO see this becoming the next big television fantasy hit. Could really use a different narrator though.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Pleasantly surprised by the story. Very slow to start and at times drug a bit too much. But overall I’m glad I got it.

Historia
From executive producers of The Walking Dead and Travis Beacham, the writer of Pacific Rim, comes a heart-stopping Audible Original featuring a brilliant British cast. It’s the near future and seven years since a comet hit the earth and blotted out the sun. The world is a dark, frozen landscape. And then, beastly creatures emerge and take over. A story of apocalypse, horror, and adventure, Impact Winter is a wholly original new saga created just for Audible with immersive 3D audio that dares you to pop in your earbuds and listen in the dark.
