The whole package
Revisado: 10-31-21
The narration is on point the whole book. I loved every sentence. You go from hating some characters and loving others to loving ones you hated. This is something the author does so well by giving partial context to behaviors and wrapping it neatly together at the end. I cannot wait for Nona the ninth and Alecto.

Historia
Some say that to change the world you must first burn it down. Now that belief will be tested in the crucible of revolution: The Breakers and Burners have seized the levers of power, the smoke of riots has replaced the smog of industry, and all must submit to the wisdom of crowds. With nothing left to lose, Citizen Brock is determined to become a new hero for the new age, while Citizeness Savine must turn her talents from profit to survival before she can claw her way to redemption.

Never assume you know what’s next
Revisado: 09-26-21
Only Joe Abercrombie can make you love a character then hate them in such magnificent style. You really go through a wild range of emotions while being entertained at every turn. The visualization of every moment is easy with the perfect narration. I hope there’s more in the series

The whisper yelling of the narrator
Revisado: 09-15-21
Story is good if relatively predictable. The action scenes where people are supposed to be yelling ect is super irritating. Remember when you were a kid and you’d pretend to be the crowd at a baseball game cheering for yourself? Yeah. That.
I did enjoy the few twists at the end tho!

Plots within plots and action packed
Revisado: 08-03-21
Each character has their own story and motives. You relate to them you get annoyed with them and you fear for them when the action begins. You hate the antagonists until you understand them. I can’t wait to get into the next book.

Historia

Awesome world building
Revisado: 06-07-21
I like the diversity of the characters, their motivations, and the hidden drive of the gods behind them. The opening scene is an attention grabber and right off the rip you’re invested. The protagonist is disabled and at times seems weak and infuriating at first but the longer the story moves forward the more all of the characters change.

Revisado: 03-24-21
I keep thinking Joe Abercrombie isn’t going to catch me off guard again. Then he just blasts through my expectations. You really should listen to the other books again before this one. You’ll forget some of the nuisances. As always I am left feeling excited for the next in the series.

Historia
With what should have been the greatest heist of their career gone spectacularly sour, Locke and his trusted partner, Jean, have barely escaped with their lives. Or at least Jean has. But Locke is slowly succumbing to a deadly poison that no alchemist or physiker can cure. Yet just as the end is near, a mysterious Bondsmage offers Locke an opportunity that will either save him or finish him off once and for all.

Obsession is weird
Revisado: 03-15-21
I love this series. I did not love that our protagonist becomes and absolute obsessive jerk. I almost skipped some conversations because it was just overbearing. Loved the epilogue it sets up so well for the next in series. Other than Lockes compulsive need to dumb his otherwise brilliant character down this book is awesome. There are laughs and mystery that keep you interested right to the last moment.

Historia
After a brutal battle with the underworld that nearly destroyed him, Locke and his trusted sidekick, Jean, fled the island city of their birth and landed on the exotic shores of Tal Verrar to nurse their wounds. But even at this westernmost edge of civilization, they can’t rest for long - and are soon back to what they do best: stealing from the undeserving rich and pocketing the proceeds for themselves. This time, however, they have targeted the grandest prize of all: the Sinspire, the most exclusive and heavily guarded gambling house in the world.

Historia
The Seven Cities Rebellion has been crushed. Sha’ik is dead. One last rebel force remains, holed up in the city of Y’Ghatan and under the fanatical command of Leoman of the Flails. The prospect of laying siege to this ancient fortress makes the battle-weary Malazan Fourteenth Army uneasy. For it was here that the Empire’s greatest champion, Dassem Ultor, was slain and a tide of Malazan blood spilled. A place of foreboding, its smell is of death. But elsewhere, agents of a far greater conflict have made their opening moves.

Historia
They say Black Dow's killed more men than winter and clawed his way to the throne of the North up a hill of skulls. The King of the Union, ever a jealous neighbor, is not about to stand smiling by while he claws his way any higher. The orders have been given, and the armies are toiling through the northern mud. Thousands of men are converging on a forgotten ring of stones, on a worthless hill, in an unimportant valley, and they've brought a lot of sharpened metal with them.

I'd say it's like something great but....
Revisado: 08-04-16
It stands alone as a great story. You can't compare it to another book or style or author. Everyone's a hero but everyone's a villain. Descriptive and deeply intense in character development you get all the action without losing the people doing the fighting.
