Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Really good book especially if ...
Revisado: 06-27-19
You don’t really know him , like I didn’t. I heard some good things about him and just wanted to judge him for myself. The book talks mostly about his childhood but the stories are quite hilarious, educational and most importantly very interesting. His sense of humor is dry but overall it kept me sitting in my car listening to this without wanting to be interrupted. I say it’s a win ! Now I must go and figure out more about this Noah guy on the YouTubes :)

Awesome inspiring
Revisado: 04-18-19
Initially as a 33 year old woman I thought the book was a little out of my age , but her overal powerful message really made me admire how strong she is to share her story & inspire women to continue to be strong and find their voice when things are tough. The narrator wasn’t my favorite. Almost too happy , if that’s even a bad thing. Overall a good listen for women and young men who love gymnastics and of course are looking for a book that opens ones eyes to getting past the bad to being a great version of yourself.

Loving this story; goosebumps at the ending
Revisado: 10-17-18
I didn’t even read the description and I was heavily pleased with the way this book was written. I was captured by the circumstances that love had to endure to be a true form of itself. It makes you hope and pray for the American dream and some how ... still managed it. Without giving spoilers away of course I will just say it makes you keep on listening and hoping and wishing. That’s what I love about this.

As Roseann Sdoia waited to watch her friend cross the finish line of the Boston Marathon in 2013, she had no idea her life was about to change - that in a matter of minutes she would look up from the sidewalk, burned and deaf, staring at her detached foot, screaming for help amid the smoke and blood. In the chaos of the minutes that followed, three people would enter Roseann's life and change it forever.

It's hard to listen to this without shedding a tear or two. I think that her story is amazing and she is lucky to have been blessed with some perfect people in her life. Although you can totally tell it was her first time reading a book aloud, her story made me cling to my phone and listen to the very end. Her bravery inspires me! I hope one day you do run again at Boston! The only thing that I would change is not having a photo of your amazing mom. Her line about crying will be embedded in my head for the rest of my life! Gotta love her =)... Totally worth the listen!! Thank you for being an inspiration Roseann!

When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

I liked it a lot, I might have to listen to it again to catch all little details that hint towards what happens next. I still want to know what happened to the dog? That part was just a mystery.

Great motivational book for writers / artists
Revisado: 12-21-17
I am not creative but I loved her concept of how magic and ideas flow freely like a spirit that needs to be nourished. I do however felt that that same idea was driven into a few different stories to help motivate the listeners. I love anything Elizabeth creates. It was just different than her previous works. Still worth listening to and Appling it to anywhere you need inspiration

I shed a few tears and it's hard to make me cry
Revisado: 09-28-17
Listening to a story of a girl lost in a new modern world after living in the woods ever since she was 4 years old , moved me more than i could ever imagine. I couldn't stop listening, trying to figure out why a mother would do such a thing. The ending tears at my core like a bear digging into the Forrest ground. The way this author describes things & the way the narrator reads makes this the perfect book. I would listen again. It's simply beautiful sad happy confusing all at once. But it changes you in the way you should be changed , looking at family , love and survival at a completely crisp new light.

Historia
Sam Pickett never expected to settle in this dried-up shell of a town on the western edge of the world. He’s come here to hide from the violence and madness that have shattered his life, but what he finds is what he least expects. It seems that every inhabitant of this forgotten outpost has a story, a reason for taking a detour to this place—or a reason for staying.

Struggled through it. Didn't finish.
Revisado: 05-05-17
Not sure why but this story has dragged so incredibly much. I kept it in my library for a while and kept going back but ordered different books because I was bored. I listened to about 5 hours and nothing was happening. Same losing basketball team and no story progress. The performance was great as the narrators voice is easy to listen to. But the story dragged worse a tortoise in peanut butter.

Wildflower is a portrait of Drew's life in stories as she looks back on the adventures, challenges, and incredible experiences of her earlier years. It includes tales of living on her own at 14 (and how laundry may have saved her life), getting stuck in a gas station overhang on a cross-country road trip, saying good-bye to her father in a way only he could have understood, and many more adventures and lessons that have led her to the successful, happy, and healthy place she is today.

First off... yes she screams. Only like 4 times. lol. But seriously it's not like a high pitched bloody curdling scream. Just one when you're frustrated and curse profanities! She is sweet , passionate , humble and hilarious ! She made me relate to her in so many ways besides the whole I'm famous thing which she never takes for granted. She walks you through her life like you're listening to your best friend. It's an easy and pleasurable read which makes you understand who she is today. I love her more for this book. Yes Drew you killed this book. :)
