A waste of time unless you enjoy other people’s suffering or have a hatred of humanity.

Bill Marr picked up where Dennis Miller left off. Calling out hypocrisy and bullsh*t from both sides of the political spectrum with humor and wit.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this epic, but was quickly drawn in by Mr. Rudhdi’s breath of language. I’ve listened to many books and never heard such a huge vocabulary expressed in such an intriguing story. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in India and this book helped me understand the culture and history better. The reader did a masterful job of bringing the story alive. Ultimately it is a story of humanity and our struggles to understand the life we’re given and our desire to control how it unfolds.

If you want your therapy delivered with way too much foul language, then this is your book. On the other hand, if you want to understand the key points of cognitive behavioral therapy, there are many other books well worth your time. I think Faith's publisher asked for more words than she actually knows, so she just consulted George Carlin's 7 dirty words vocabulary to flesh out the book. She also didn't bother to find a good microphone or quiet place to record. All in all, a big waste of time...

Jorden's passion for humanity and his life long pursuit of understanding and meaning is a gift to everyone willing to listen and learn. I often disagree with his interpretations and his strong desire to integrate biblical stories with the modern human experience, but I almost always agree with his logic, compassion and conclusions. I am a devote anti-theist, but this book helps me appreciate the stories that most of my fellow humans use to guide them through life. No other narrator could have read this book and did it justice. His voice will tremble and rise as he reads passages that bring him sorrow and joy, revealing his passion and compassion for the many subject areas covered here.

The very best overview of Objectivism

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 06-24-05

If you identified with the heroes of Atlas Shrugged and want to fully explore the philosophical principles on which they were based, this is a great book. There are quite a few good books and lectures available on Ayn Rand's philosphy of Objectivism, but this is by far the best. It starts with the foundation of human understanding and develops the philosophy using self-evident logic and reason. The author does an excellent job of capturing Ayn Rand's compelling philosophy for living a non-contradictory life. If you're going to read only one book about objectivism, this is the one to read and was fully endorsed by Ayn Rand.
