Historia
Colton Gentry is riding high. His first hit in nearly a decade has caught fire, he’s opening for country megastar Brant Lucas, and he’s married to one of the hottest acts in the country. But he’s hurting. Only a few weeks earlier, his best friend, Duane, was murdered onstage by a mass shooter at a country music festival. One night, Colton stands before a sold-out arena crowd of country music fans and offers his unfiltered opinion on guns. It goes over poorly. Immediately, his career and marriage implode. Left with few choices or funds, he retreats to his rural Kentucky hometown.

If Hallmark movies were a beautifully written book
Revisado: 10-16-24
Jeff Zenter is one of my all time favorite authors and his latest release is a sweet story about how love and dreams can take a meandering path. I have always loved Jeff's poetic prose. His stories are imbued with amazing imagery. I also have loved his well developed and flawed characters. While This is not my favorite of his novels, I highly enjoyed it and recommend it.

Historia
Anne Gallagher grew up enchanted by her grandfather’s stories of Ireland. Heartbroken at his death, she travels to his childhood home to spread his ashes. There, overcome with memories of the man she adored and consumed by a history she never knew, she is pulled into another time. The Ireland of 1921, teetering on the edge of war, is a dangerous place in which to awaken. But there Anne finds herself, hurt, disoriented, and under the care of Dr. Thomas Smith, guardian to a young boy who is oddly familiar.

loved it! this is one of my favorite narrators. she narrated all of Kate Quinn's books and really enables the listener to submerge them self into the book. Amy Harmon is a poetic storyteller. this is my first book of hers and I plan to read more.

When the audio is better than the print book
Revisado: 01-17-19
Listening to Elizabeth Acevedo narrate her own book, a story told through spoken word poetry, is an exquisite gift. If any book wholly and completely lends itself to an audio format, it's this one.
