Fantastic!! Should be assigned reading
Revisado: 01-18-25
This was thoughtfully written from multiple perspectives of one most difficult experiences anyone can have. It was heartbreakingly raw and honest. I loved the courage and growth of the characters. Bravo!

Seriously the plot is so unbelievably bad
Revisado: 08-08-24
The seasoned detective leaves the entire case up to a “rookie” and has no input of their own despite being the famous agent? Awful.

It was just okay.
Revisado: 05-08-23
It started very slow and when it finally got interesting it was over. The ending felt tumbled. I had heard so many good things about the book and it simply didn’t live up to the hype. Perhaps, because I listened as an unbiased reader instead of a fan.

Historia
A land where witches wear their spells like tattoos is no place for a woman without a single magical mark—except for Raven, whose unblemished skin contradicts the truth of her power. Surviving under the scowls of her fellow witches has carved indelible scars into her mind over the years—just as the day she watched the Dark King's men murder her grandmother in cold blood. But the Dark King's reign of terror is far-reaching, and Raven's grandmother won't be the last witch to die under his rule.

Good story
Revisado: 04-16-23
Good story, a bit disappointed that it ended without finishing. The narrator reads so slow, it made the story feel like it was dragging on because of it.

So slow, and never picks up
Revisado: 02-10-23
The narrator did a good job. My issue was the extremely slow plot progression and the characters were bland. I struggled to finish it.

The present day character is awful
Revisado: 08-13-21
I wish this book didn’t switch between the two. The present day character is constantly angry, petulant, and unbelievable. It’s too bad, because the alternative theory was an interesting idea.
