This is such an inspiring heart warming yet informative story. Anyone who thinks that communism or socialism is the right path for a government to take needs to read this. I will be buying a hard copy to refer back to & support this great author. I highly recommend this for ANYONE!

Historia
In In Order to Live, Yeonmi Park shines a light not just into the darkest corners of life in North Korea, describing the deprivation and deception she endured and which millions of North Korean people continue to endure to this day, but also onto her own most painful and difficult memories. She tells with bravery and dignity for the first time the story of how she and her mother were betrayed and sold into sexual slavery in China and forced to suffer terrible psychological and physical hardship before they finally made their way to Seoul, South Korea - and to freedom.

Tissues & a soothing drink for your throat
Revisado: 07-05-21
As a retired soldier who has served in Korea & in Germany before & after the wall came down I’ve seen these kind of heart breaking stories from Communist controlled dictatorships. However, Miss Park’s story is one of the most detailed & powerful. Prepare yourself prior to reading or listening to this book with a supply of tissues & a soothing drink for an enormous lump that is sure to form in your throat. God bless Miss Park & her family for telling their story.
