What happens when your older brother's hot best friend who you've been crushing on FOREVER needs a little help making his ex jealous? Well, when Laramie writes it, you can be sure there will be love, heartache, and a whole lot of alpha maleness, sparks, and fireworks! Like she does with all her characters, Laramie makes you love some, hate others and wish you were the object of their affection.

If you've never read any of Laramie's books, first of all, you're missing out. But secondly, since this is a standalone, why not start here? After you meet Reed and Sass, you'll be searching for more of her titles and be glad you did.

Updated version of Happily Ever After

Sketch is an updated version of the traditional Happily Ever After novel-- As a hopeless romantic, I'm a sucker for books with Happily Ever After endings. This book hit on a topic that most authors avoid -- just because you find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, doesn't mean things are going to be perfect. That, however, doesn't mean that people should just give up when the sunshine fades and the roses die. Anyone who has ever been in a long term relationship knows that it can be HARD! But if both parties work hard enough and don't lose sight of their love and commitment, you can get through the rough patches and come out on the other side.

Sketch and Nina have decided to try to put their marriage back together after a 6 month separation. The author takes you through their journey to become a happily married couple. Sketch and Nina don't try to get their relationship back to where it used to be not only because they realize that it obviously didn't work, but also because they have both become different people. Written mainly from the perspective of Sketch, a hot tattoo artist, this book is emotional, fun, flirty, and heart wrenching.

I've been a huge fan of Laramie's for years but this book might just be my new favorite. Highly recommended for anyone, whether you've read all her other books or are new to this author.
