The storyline didn’t click, and repeated itself too many times. Also, the narrator’s accent was too pronounced (usually narration is a strong point in Larson’s audio books).

Absolutely a 101 presentation

If you are interested in listening to a few hours of what reminds me of a business meeting which drags on and on…or a typical 101 required college course, then this audiobook should be in your library. It’s not that the author doesn’t provide a broad overview of the field, it’s that to accomplish that he only really presents an overly broad and I distant viewpoint (more detailed and actual “real world” examples would help). The narration was clear and easy to understand, but quickly began to drone on (little expression or enthusiasm).

This is a fun series and I hope it continues. Sky World did not bring a lot of new material to readers, but the story line kept things interesting and the narration (as usual) was excellent. The author left several paths open for future “world” books…looking forward to them.

Don't know why I enjoy the series as much as I do, but I'm always hoping there will be another World" book written. Perhaps it's because most other novels seem more concerned with being "wok" than entertaining the reader.

Deja vu all over again

Having just finished the sixth book in this series I'm convinced (although I wish it wasn't so) that its stuck in a twilight zone...between a good story and author malfeasance. It brings up some interesting ideas, but covers them up with "sludge" and cliches. Although the narrator's performance is excellent, it cannot "make a silk purse from a sow's ear". Sorry, but I don't recommend this series.

"And they all lived happily ever after" - story drags - few new ideas presented and the two central characters are insufferable bores...wish I'd not started this series...expect better from Larson.
