I fell asleep like 5 times during this story. it is short boring and super lame.

For those that rate this 5 stars 🌟 you are way too high. Narration horrible especially with female voices. Smart character becomes the stupid character. bland plot. Great concept but failed in everything else. All this Krout Hype and he dropped the ball hard on this one.

Hardly any progression

Hardly any progression. If you want to read about a long simple plotted quest, that you can guess the outcome in 2 minutes of reading, go for it. Few things happen. A recap in the next book will cover everything that was important in a paragraph. Yep, the whole 8 hours can litteraly be summed up in a one paragraph and thats the advancement of your story.
So the only real reason to get this book is if your out of stuff to listen too.
A light book that maintains some of the humor from previous books for a bland side quest.

Not a 5 star but doesn't mean you should skip.

At loss here. The story seemed to be there with good content. But I feel as if the delivery was off and I don't mean narration. parts so slow that you wanted to hit the skip forward button during basic filler fights. The poor character building of the children, main character being super juvenile and slow in development and decision making. The fact that tracking was a skill chosen then forgotten. I can see where the author went on character development to an extent other choices are just illogical. Hopefully the author has already realized all of this and hoping that book 2 will be better written. This by no means is a 5 Star book the content is there some characters you might be attached too but delivery not there. But it doesn't mean you need to skip this one. This could be a great series if next books done right.

struggled through the prolong couldn't even get half way through chapter one. didn't even come close to creating a world that I could dive into.

garbage, predictable all the way from book one and to end on that note was a slap in the face for anyone who actually stuck through it to see if you would actually make it interesting. not worth a credit or your time.

Worth the credit

It took a moment to get used to the narrator and the first part of the story. I listened to this without break, couldn't put it down. So far a standalone I think def worth your time. I enjoyed it even if there was some parts that did not add up all the way.

maybe this is something you would pick up with free time out in a desert with nothing else to do. this audible was just ridiculous in detail to the point you want to turn it off, it's too slow. if author had taken out his 20 minutes to describe each piece of clothing you might have a good story here.

World building/classes/strategic. High death toll. Books pacing is ok. Felt as if so much was left out, felt empty. Lots of potential for future books.

If your in need of filling time with an alright story it’s not bad, I find the grinding super slow though. Interesting story but doesn’t catch me enough to even consider getting book 2. If your into stats and tons of spell jargon this book is probably for you.
