Historia
My crew betrayed me. Had me thrown behind bars and ripped away from the woman I loved. Too bad, they underestimated my thirst for revenge. This Christmas, I vow to paint these wintry streets with blood. Make it all red snow. But there’s just one problem. Zuri. The woman I was forced to abandon. The one who still haunts my dreams. Now, as the snow blankets the city in white, and revenge burns hot in my veins, I'm faced with a choice. Do I follow the path of retribution? Or do I dare to reclaim the love I lost?

Virtual voice is HORRIBLE!
Revisado: 12-31-23
Would have probably been a pretty good book and story if not for the virtual voice…
No emotion.
No proper pausing.
Saying cook instead of cock… which is hilarious.
Boooooooo.

Historia
Kate Bennett vanished from a parking lot eleven years ago, leaving behind her husband and young daughter. When she shows up at a Montana gas station, clutching an infant and screaming for help, investigators believe she may have been abducted by a cult. Kate’s return flips her family’s world upside down—her husband is remarried, and her daughter barely remembers her. Kate herself doesn’t look or act like she did before.

Not at all what I expected at the end...
Revisado: 01-07-20
Without giving anything away, all I can say is that this story turned out far different than I had thought. Some parts were hard to listen to but overall not too graphic or upsetting.

Historia
The number-one New York Times best-selling author of Small Great Things returns with a powerful and provocative new novel about ordinary lives that intersect during a heart-stopping crisis. The warm fall day starts like any other at the Center - a women’s reproductive health services clinic. Then, in late morning, a desperate and distraught gunman bursts in and opens fire, taking all inside hostage. After rushing to the scene, Hugh McElroy, a police hostage negotiator, sets up a perimeter. Then he finds out that his 15-year-old daughter, Wren, is inside the clinic.

VERY graphic description of abortions
Revisado: 11-01-18
TRIGGER WARNING - while I appreciated the overall story of this book I found it incredibly hard to get through after listening to some of the excessively descriptive parts regarding abortion, dismemberment and removal of a baby from the womb. Regardless of a person's political views on life or choice... this was HARD (almost excruciating) to listen to. I would warn any woman that has ever suffered the loss of a child during pregnancy to avoid this book. It is quite upsetting.
(obviously not for everyone, but for me it was.)
