Lovely story
Revisado: 03-21-25
The story is wonderful and inspirational. You can feel the emotion coming out of the readers voice. It seems to crescendo about 2/3ds of the way then just keeps up. The descriptions of the Himalaya, the Sherpa people, and the family interactions was incredible. The only negative aspect of the performance was the Daisy character's voice. The cadence was incredibly annoying and I almost stopped listening. Luckily all of the other characters had nice voices and were pleasant to hear.

Unique. I loved the story line and that female villain was a crack shot and an exceptional artist. I like the way family abuse is being addressed. I think the author catches the emotions of different people and the relationships where the people intersect.i also like Angus's voice, especially when I have in my EarPods.

I enjoyed this book. I loved the tenacity of the female characters and the support of the husband and police inspector. The storyline was full of twists and turns and reading in true storyteller fashion

Great storyline captivating so many different social issues and cultural sensitivities were included in this book… really interesting how they affected the investigation process. Most troublesome is the Bragg character bc I find a lot of the ‘type’.

A precise killer, he always moves under the cover of darkness, flawlessly triggering no alarms, leaving no physical evidence. Cross and Sampson aren’t the only ones investigating. Also in on this most intriguing case is the world’s bestselling true-crime author, who sees patterns everyone else misses. The writer, Thomas Tull, calls the Family Man murders the perfect crime story. He believes the killer may never be caught. Cross knows there is no perfect crime. And he’s going to hunt down the Family Man no matter what it takes.

Ok
Revisado: 12-15-22
This book was ok. It was really hard to follow bc of the changes in voices with each chapter. I usually listen to the books as I am on public trans and it affected my ability to concentrate or follow the action between chapters. Plus the plot was kinda cheesy.

Love love love
Revisado: 11-19-22
This is how a story should be told…. Life’s complicated, messy, horribly unfortunate, and redemption, forgiveness, and understanding. Excellent reader who simply amplifies the messages of the story. I feellike I am sitting at the campfire and the storyteller has the rapt attention of the crowd as he tells the writers take.

Adult Guilt monologue
Revisado: 07-02-22
This story was hard to get into and I only listened to the whole story to see of any of the characters would recover. Every character seemed to be mellow dramatic with the same inner dialogue. OMG, stop with the guilt. I was also put off by the parents claiming to care so much about their children when everything pointed back to their children s actions affecting the parents lives. With the question of privacy — I could not believe a parent would be so conflicted to spy o their ‘child’ when the child was in trouble and doing wrong things. The fact that a parent would have an issue in being honest with their kid bc this measure was in the kids est interest… it really eluded me. Every time the characters went into the melodramatic guilt trip monologue,I wanted to fast forward. Lol, the story would have been reduced to less than an hour.
