Natasha doesn't remember how she ended up in the icy water that night, but she does know this—it wasn't an accident, and she wasn't suicidal. Historia
Twentysomething Nora McInerny Purmort bounced from boyfriend to boyfriend and job to job. Then she met Aaron, a charismatic art director and her kindred spirit. They made mixtapes (and pancakes) into the wee hours of the morning. They finished each other's sentences. They just knew. When Aaron was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer, they refused to let it limit their love. They got engaged on Aaron's hospital bed and married after his first surgery. They had a baby when he was on chemo.

Outstanding real first person account
Revisado: 11-13-19
Love the narration. Just the right amount of sass, Mary. The easy way she spoke about her experience - she is 110% in this and working so hard to thrive and not let her world crumble - even when she had every right to. Can’t wait to read the other things she has written!!!

Historia
For 12-year-old Cora Landry and her friends Violet and Jordyn, it was supposed to be an ordinary sleepover - movies and Ouija and talking about boys. But when they decide to sneak out to go to the abandoned rail yard on the outskirts of town, little do they know that their innocent games will have dangerous consequences. Later that night, Cora Landry is discovered on the tracks, bloody and clinging to life, her friends nowhere to be found. Soon, their small rural town is thrust into a maelstrom. Who would want to hurt a young girl like Cora - and why?

Did not see that coming!

this book frustrated me so much initially. so much time spent in one period of time with really tok much detail that I found go be overkill. But it picked up at the end and was really interesting! Tge performance was outstanding!

Devastating and incredibly eye opening
Revisado: 06-11-19
I cried. A lot. I learned a lot. This is what I love about Jodi Picoult - the raw and real subject matter that is never really talked about. I hated one character. He was vile and disgusting and it was painful to listen. I forced myself and I learned so much. There really is a lot of discrimination and racism still very much alive and devastatingly real. We need to be better. And we can be better. I hope everyone reads/listens. This is critical and important and executed very well. Kudos!
