I never connected to the main character. She was terribly one dimensional. Pouty on almost every page. The stepmother’s story would have made a better story.

I enjoyed the story. It had a nice ending. However, not a fan of a second reader’s voice popping up jto read one line or two. It wasn’t a character driven voice change but seemed to be someone fixing mistakes.

This book in written form sometimes seems complicated. But in audio form it comes alive as the narrator brings the sermons of FF Bosworth to life. Doctrine is sound and helps to settle once and for all Paul’s thorn in the flesh. It is thoroughly explained, People believing God authors sickness and disease as a form of advancing our spiritual walk need to listen. Our not understanding healing correctly is harming the Body of Christ. Highly recommend!!! I have the book downloaded as well. Great way to study after listening.

I struggled connecting to the main character. I desperately wanted to enjoy him but I found myself indifferent to his story. The writer had some lovely flashbacks to his childhood but again I did not have much of an emotional connection to the book.

Probably the wrong audience

Quickly downloaded this audiobook and discovered I was the wrong target audience. Literary style lent itself to romance with a touch of historical tossed in for good measure. And the writing style was too simple for my taste. I laughed out loud not from content of the story but at the phrasing.
