Absolutely fantastically woven story that was impossible to put down. Each of the characters was beautifully & artistically developed to engender the appropriate emotion from the reader. The author’s prose was so beautiful that I am going to buy the physical book so that I can pick it up to continually re-read sections bc his writing is just so exquisite in parts.

Extremely disappointing. Terribly redundant and repetitive.

I was so disappointed to have finished this book having learned absolutely nothing new. This book is chock full of trite, “Good-Housekeeping-esque” advice that we’ve all read a zillion times. Total waste of time IF you are a parent who actively reads relevant data.

absolutely the worst read, ever.

First of all, every single page is packed with frustrating, half finished characters, plots, diction, dialogue. Everything is underdeveloped and half finished. I should have abandoned immediately, but with all the glowing reviews, I'd thought it would improve. Boy, was I wrong.
The dialog was so absurd. (as if the boy, whatever his name was, would ever use the word, exquisite)?! There are dozens of examples of this. The way the chapters go back and forth in no seemingly thoughtful order or reason is maddening. The continually half thought out sentences & unfinished dialogues & sentences is extremely immature and unprofessional.
this book was so annoying and I felt like I needed Benadryl the whole time . Thank GOD it's over.

This is an important book.

This is an important book, although I wouldn't call it a "great". I think that most people above 45 & certainly 50 need to read because doing so will make you a better person. This book will help you become a better spouse, parent, adult child, a better member of an extended family community and community, at large.
And I loved the main Character! she is a real "Mainiac".

absolutely loved this tale from page 1. The narrator does a splendid job telling this beautifully woven story. The author very quickly and adeptly developed the characters to a point where the reader felt you knew each one. Beautifully done!
