Historia
Rock and roll in the BC (Before Cooper) era was a tamer, milder world. In Who I Really Am, Cooper’s latest addition to Audible’s Words + Music series, we learn how the boa-wearing (not the feathered kind) maestro arrived at a show and sound - let’s call it AC for After Cooper - that has entertained millions of kids while terrifying parents in equal measure. Cooper drew inspiration from Saturday matinee horror movies, applied a "no such thing as too much" attitude, and hitched it to a kick-ass rock and roll band.

I truly enjoyed this audiobook. Words and music is the only way to tell his story. You can’t have one without the other. I’m happy for the music and where he is with his life and family. God bless you Alice.

The best of them all!
Revisado: 10-21-22
I have read many books (and listened to audiobooks) but this one takes the cake.
Led Zeppelin created some of the best rock ‘n roll on the planet.
Some things that happened in the background may not have been pretty. Our own lives can be looked at at the same way.
But there is so much good. No, make that great!
You have heard it a million times, but Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time. They covered it all. Bob Spitz did a fantastic job! Wish I could give this 10 stars.

Historia
In The Case for Heaven, best-selling author and investigative journalist turns a critical eye on the evidence for heaven, a variety of claims about the afterlife, and modern-day stories of near-death experiences to build a compelling case that death is not the end of our existence but a transition to an exciting and very real world to come.

Another wonderful book in The Case For… series.
Revisado: 03-22-22
I just finished listening to the latest book from Lee Strobel, The Case For Heaven. I have enjoyed all the books from Strobel that I have listened to. These include books from his “The Case For…” series.
Such as The Case For Grace, The Case for Miracles, The Case For A Creator, and The Case For Christ. My wife Becky introduced me to this last book by having me watch the movie that the book was based on. Strobel has other books in the series that I have not read, as well as some children editions. The author also has written other books that are not part of The Case For series. Audiobooks make it much easier for me to enjoy as I do not always have the time to read them in book form. I can listen anywhere.

Historia
In the summer of 1937, Amelia Earhart is the most famous woman in the world - a record-breaking pilot, a best-selling author, and a modern woman shattering the glass ceiling in the early days of aviation. And then she vanishes. In Tampa, Florida, 15-year-old Lizzie Friedlander spends her afternoons glued to her father’s radio, tapping into the enormity of a world she longs to travel. Lizzie can hardly believe her ears when she picks up a radio signal from a faraway source that sets her heart racing: “Amelia Earhart calling SOS!”

Enjoyable
Revisado: 03-18-20
I’m not sure why some would rate this only 1 star. Although this is a work of fiction based around facts, it’s no different than the fiction story of James Cameron’s Titanic. That also was based in fact with a story of fiction written in. This was also a tribute to A.E. and to women everywhere.

Historia
Is there credible proof that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God? In The Case for Christ, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune and New York Times bestselling author, retraces his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith and builds a captivating case for Christ's divinity. In this revised and updated edition of The Case for Christ, Strobel cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools such as Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis, asking hard-hitting questions—and taking a deeper look at the evidence from the fields of science, philosophy, and history.

Love this book!
Revisado: 11-08-18
I enjoy inspirational stories. I saw a movie based on this book and I wanted to learn more about his investigation. Considering that he was an atheists. Because he was a journalist, he was only interested in the facts. I use to love reading a good book, but over time It seemed that I never could enough time to read. Audiobooks have been so rewarding to me to listen to. I have listened to old books I loved growing up. I have listened to new stories and subjects of interest. Audiobooks allow me to finish a story much sooner than if I had read it. A great narrator makes the story come to life. Adding a bit of emotion such as is done for this audiobook draws me in so much more. The last chapter in this book ends with an interview with Lee that was done at the time of the 20th anniversary for The Case For Christ. I highly recommend this book to non-believers and believes. The evidence is extremely overwhelming.

"Okay, Lord, you can have him. But if he must die, I want it to be for something big. I want someone’s life to be changed forever." This is what Laura Sobeich prayed when she found out her 17-year-old son had only one year to live. With this desperate prayer, she released her son to God’s will. At that point, Zach Sobiech was just another teenager battling cancer. When his mother told him to think about writing good-bye letters to family and friends, he decided instead to write songs. One of them, "Clouds", captured hearts and changed not one life but millions, making him an international sensation.

Thank you for sharing your story
Revisado: 05-09-18
How do you review a book like this? If you shed only one Tera, then this story has touched you in some way. It is a story of hope and faith. A story about living. A story of how we each can fly a little higher, in life and in our journey into heaven. As much as all of those who knew Zak and have felt blessed to have know him, I am positive that Zak felt the same way about all of you. Be good to one another. It matters, it truly does. In closing I would like to add that the Narrator of this audiobook did a fantastic job. She read it in such a way, that at times I thought it was her story to tell.

Historia
When Eddie was 12 years old, all he wanted for Christmas was a bike. Although his life had gotten harder - and money tighter - since his father died and the family bakery closed...Eddie dreamed that somehow his mother would find a way to have his dream bike gleaming beside their modest Christmas tree that magical morning. What he got from her instead was a sweater. "A stupid, handmade, ugly sweater" that young Eddie left in a crumpled ball in the corner of his room.

Christmas is not the same without this book.
Revisado: 12-06-16
When this book first came out I read it every year. When I got the audiobook I would listen to it twice a year before Christmas.
It has such an important message. Glenn Beck is outstanding in reading this story. His story.
I saw the stage show in the theater one year and I wish that it was available to watch again.
I got my young son the children’s version of this book. Now that he is 11 I would like him to read the original book.
If there was anyone who thought that they might be interested in this story, then please pick it up. You will be touched, and you won’t be disappointed.

Radio and television host Glenn Beck has experienced the rollercoaster of life like few others. From the suicide of his mother when he was just 13, to his eventual alcoholism, depression, divorce, unemployment, and health scares - Glenn has weathered life’s darkest storms. Any one of those struggles could’ve ruined him, yet Glenn was able to keep moving forward. He saw past the darkness into the light; past his grief and addictions and into what his life could be.

In all my life...
Revisado: 03-06-14
Where does The 7 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Number 1
What other book might you compare The 7 to and why?
There are no other books that I have listened to that compare. The format was great, Having Glenn and Keith have their companion parts.
Which character – as performed by Pat Gray and Brian Sack – was your favorite?
Both were wonderful. How can one pick a favorite? Without the other the book is half complete.
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
To believe in ones self. To listen to your mind, heart and gut. The book was very motivational. It made me think of the decisions I made in the past and how to strive to be a better person for me.
Any additional comments?
...I have never read (or in this case heard) a book that made me want to start the book again right after I finished it the very first time. I was so interested in what the message was behind the book that I wanted to make sure I didn't forget anything or just want to hear again such inspiring words. I am so happy that Glenn Beck and Keith Ablow wrote this book. Something they were destined to do. Having Pat Gray read Glenn's part and Brian Sack read Keith's part was great as both did the audiobook justice. As I said in all my life I have never read a book that made me want to start the book again. I'm sure just like Glenn's book The Christmas Sweater" that I listen to once a year I will revisit the The 7 time and time again. Thank you Mr. Beck and Mr. Ablow for this book.
