I had heard and read/listened to a little bit of stuff regarding these investing strategies before, but hadn’t dived as deep as I would have wanted to. The wheel strategy works by compounding growth over time that can be effective in many market environments and can potentially provides better returns that traditional stock investing (or just buying a bunch of ETF funds like many of us do). I discovered this and things such as the fact that this strategy can be implemented by investors looking to create a steady and more solid income. Many people stay away from options trading because they think it may be complicated or risky, or they think it will take up all of their time staring at a screen. However, I’ve learnt this is not the case, which is probably one of my biggest takeaways from this title. Sure, this strategy can be used for risky stuff (as can mostly any strategy to be honest), but it sounds like the author has really focused on making sure to balance risk/reward factors and is passionate about teaching this stuff. A huge thing I learnt was that you can sell options at a price you choose, then selling repeats like a cycle in motion (that’s where the name comes from), and you can change trades to match your goals to prioritize income, shares of a stock longterm, etc., and can adjust expiration parameters. So helpful and learned a ton!

Jordan Phoenix has created the perfect resource for the next generation to empower themselves. Not only are areas of self-esteem brought to the forefront and given the attention they deserve, but so are pointers to not only recognize when relationship dynamics are dysfunctional, but to how to avoid and remove yourself from them altogether. I think it’s safe to say that if we are to evolve then it must be done on the personal level and so, to equip the next generation with mindful and awareness tools such as this is the way to go. My favorite part of this title is the steps it takes to instill emotional resilience–something that can not be understated.

It was such a revelation for me to realize that inflammation, particularly in the gut, can cause issues with fatigue and brain fog. So it makes sense that following some of the inflammatory protocols that Jennifer Lindsey suggests will aid in boosting energy–one of the main reasons I became interested in these diets to begin with. My favorite part about this title was the attention to being more mindful of people’s budget restrictions when it comes to shopping for ingredients that are usually quite pricey. This was a unique point that was well received.

Social skills are something that many of us struggle with and something I’ve noticed my family having a difficult time with too, so I think it’s great that authors such as Reese Donovan are delivering titles like this to help the next generation develop these kinds of skills. I particularly liked the sections that offer prompts to begin and continue conversations, which I thought made this book super unique. Practicing the art of conversation with a title like this is a sure way to help develop social skills in listeners.

Beth Camby has written some excellent stories that include animals, robots, rocket cars, and so many great lessons! A favorite story was with Mateo the robot who learns to become organized in his workshop! A great lesson about organization and keeping things together here. The first thing I noticed about the book overall was how incredible this narrator is–she went all out on the character’s voices and they were so on point. It was like watching cartoons growing up again! I really loved the story ‘Matt the Dog waits to shine’ that teaches that waiting and listening can makes things go so much more smoothly, just like how the animals working as a team on projects becomes more successful with some patience and listening.

Getting pumped for the world cup!

I still remember decades ago, gritting my teeth, and being on the edge of my seat, waiting for that final penalty shot and praying that it would make it in and my nation would be victorious for the first time in years! However, sadly, that wasn’t the case. Although, you just never know when your country is going to come out on top and take that medal home. So I think it’s really cool that Paul Prosper has compiled an easy listen of travel planning and information to help you take your friends and family to a legendary sporting event! The author, Prosper, has attended a ton of these events himself, and knows all of the in and outs of confirming accommodation, knowing what to take with you, and even offers inspiration from past world cups that will truly get listeners pumped.

I feel like mastering public speaking, whether you want to do it for a career or not, is the most potent place to grow in terms of people skills and confidence. There was something really interesting that the author added to the title which I haven’t encountered in similar titles before–smoothly using technology (projectors, slides, you name it) into your presentations. This was always something that affected me, because even though I knew what I had to say down to a tee, I would always be worried and weary about technology going ajar! However, there are so many actions we can take to have this line up smoothly for us. I also loved the pointers to handle questions being thrown at you in a public setting, this was expert advice and truly received well.

Kevin Moore (author) has obviously collected a massive amount of gardening and growing knowledge and prowess over years because it shines through in what is, in my opinion, one of the most informational-packed gardening releases I have had the pleasure of discovering. I loved the suggestion for creating DIY tools from things found in the shed or garage that can be used to cultivate and help along the healthy and productive growing of veggies and more. I also enjoyed the ways to ward of pests and minimize chemical use, this was well received.

My fave part about this title was the pointers for actually teaching improv. If we can teach it, then we really absorb this stuff ourselves! I love the pointers to selecting activities to really keep students engaged during improv classes, it was also great to discover the ‘Yes, and’ technique which is definitely a game changer. Warm ups like pass the clap and story building games in which each member of the group adds to a story to keep the ball rolling was also such helpful advice for cultivating a productive class. Sacha Lively obviously has a rich background using improv and ad libbing to help her through many a situation and the fact that she offers excellent pointers to even overcome stage fright (which we also encounter at some point or another) is just a massive bonus as well.

I loved the the author, Kevin Moore, helps listeners understand the concept of creating heathy ecosystems where pollinators and other helpful garden friends can show up and really help things along. There were also other countless amazing takeaways that I had not picked up on before, such as how to create a DIY pest zapping soap using items fro your kitchen, how to naturally attract beneficial insects and tons of ways to protect your plants without needing chemicals. My fave takeaway was learning how to use companion plants to help in a way that doesn’t harm the naturally ecosystem you’re trying to cultivate.
