Historia
Following the events in Network Effect, the Barish-Estranza corporation has sent rescue ships to a newly colonized planet in peril, as well as additional SecUnits. But if there's an ethical corporation out there, Murderbot has yet to find it, and if Barish-Estranza can't have the planet, they're sure as hell not leaving without something. If that something just happens to be an entire colony of humans, well, a free workforce is a decent runner-up prize. But there's something wrong with Murderbot; it isn't running within normal operational parameters.

Historia
When the robotic god of Khuon Mo went mad, it destroyed everything it touched. It killed its priests, its city, and all its wondrous works. But in its final death throes, the god brought one thing back to life: its favorite child, Sunai. For the seventeen years since, Sunai has walked the land like a ghost, unable to die, unable to age, and unable to forget the horrors he's seen. He's run as far as he can from the wreckage of his faith, drowning himself in drink, drugs, and men.

No idea what’s going on
Revisado: 08-01-23
Admittedly I’m a pretty casual reader, but the story tries to be everywhere, the world building is really good but is rendered incomprehensible by the un marked perspective shifts; are we in a memory, a vision, who is talking right now? Often I was wondering: where are we? And What is going on? As another reviewer said— don’t hide your world building, want the characters to travel in a huge beast like in mortal engines then take the time to explain how the walking creature works and where they are. Literally spell out this is what happened to the AI, this is how AI society worked, what happened. I’m left super confused at all times and after like 10 hours I just couldn’t keep going as I had no idea where we were, what the characters goals were, and why the things that were happening were happening.

Historia
The Catenan Republic—the Hierarchy—may rule the world now, but they do not know everything. I tell them my name is Vis Telimus. I tell them I was orphaned after a tragic accident three years ago, and that good fortune alone has led to my acceptance into their most prestigious school. I tell them that once I graduate, I will gladly join the rest of civilized society in allowing my strength, my drive, and my focus—what they call Will—to be leeched away and added to the power of those above me, as millions already do. As all must eventually do.

Good, but disagreed with the author on a few things
Revisado: 07-29-22
It’s a great book on the overall shape of the modern economy, but this author made me upset at times.
The most upset I got was at the author being completely uncritical of the numbers given for deaths by the government of China for COVID, this feeds his therefore overly critical admonition of modern western nations’ response to COVID. Also his general lack of knowledge of how we got a COVID vaccine in record time seemed like an oversight. He has a general apathetic treatment of modern biological innovation in energy, health and agriculture, and does not spend any time on it at all besides looking at current carrying capacities and fertilizers.
The author spends a chapter on telling us how bad forecasting can be, then goes on to forecast what amounts to a basic regression based on past techniques and technologies.
Overall the book brings a lot of great facts to the fore but there are a few things I felt were missing, or were omitted for the authors objective purpose.
