Historia
In 2008, the author/narrator embarks on a poignant journey to Minidoka, one of the 10 former US concentration camps authorized by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Executive Order 9066 after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, where tens of thousands of American men, women, and children were incarcerated solely because of their race.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The book did not disappoint! I'm in awe of the courage & perseverance of the characters, educated about our history and although it's a heavy subject, Shiro, his friends and family's lives were also full of happy moments and triumph. A very satisfying read.

The voice acting was great. I look forward to getting in the car so I can listen. There was some unexpected seriousness, which made a great story, but it may not be for kids under a certain age.

Historia
Ghosts don't exist in our world of today. Life is too pragmatic, too consuming, too busy for past lives to linger on longer than their allotted time, or so Halcyon had believed, until she received a letter from a lawyer claiming that her mother, whom she had thought long dead, had actually been living in another part of the country since Halcyon's early childhood. She had only recently passed away, leaving Halcyon heir to an unexpected fortune and an estate on an isolated island in the middle of the Great Lakes.

SUPER (natural)

Loved it! Subject matter that I enjoy-ghosts, people who see ghosts & a witch without being adolescent or corny. This is my first book by Wendy Webb & I’m going to search for more right now😁

Historia
Fifteen years ago, a murder/suicide in room 712 rocked the grand old Bellweather Hotel and the young bridesmaid who witnessed it. Now hundreds of high school musicians, including quiet bassoonist Rabbit Hatmaker and his brassy diva twin, Alice, have gathered in its cavernous, crumbling halls for the annual Statewide festival; the grown-up bridesmaid has returned to face her demons; and a snowstorm is forecast that will trap everyone on the grounds. Then one of the orchestra’s stars disappears—from room 712.

Historia
Tuesday Mooney is a loner. She keeps to herself, begrudgingly socializes, and spends much of her time watching old Twin Peaks and X-Files DVDs. But when Vincent Pryce, Boston’s most eccentric billionaire, dies - leaving behind an epic treasure hunt through the city with clues inspired by his hero, Edgar Allan Poe - Tuesday’s adventure finally begins.

LOVE!
Revisado: 06-17-21
I absolutely loved this book, and did not want it to end! I just ordered one of her older books and I hope it is as good. I also definitely hope she writes more and more and more!
I used to read mostly non-fiction until the pandemic when I needed an escape. I am picky about the fiction I read, I find many books too corny. This one had the intrigue of a haunting, great storyline, wonderful relationships (without being a sappy romantic novel) and was fantastically written!

Historia
On a dark, wintry day, Eliza Grey receives a mysterious letter from her ailing Nana Mora begging her to come for a visit. This is an easy "Yes". Eliza has always preferred Nana Mora's beach cottage on St. Simons Island to the apartment she and her mom call home in the city. The island is a magical place where stories and legends grow as thick as the Spanish moss dangling in the trees. Now, Nana Mora's eyesight is fading, and there's something she wants to show Eliza before it’s totally gone: a mythical place locals refer to as Sirens Harbor.

Great performance
Revisado: 08-24-20
First the negatives, it was a little bit unrealistic, however I’m sure it’s considered to be in the fantasy category so that’s to be expected. It did seem long, there were times when I almost gave up in the middle. But then towards the end, it definitely had some unexpected turns and a fantastic ending and definitely made me feel like it was worth it. Performance was fantastic!

Thank & Grow Rich is for anyone interested in hooking up with the magnanimous energy field of the cosmos. Author Pam Grout, who likes to call herself the Warren Buffet of Happiness, says it all starts with getting on the frequency of joy and gratitude. Thanking (rather than thinking) puts us on an energetic frequency - a vibration - that calls in miracles.

Grateful for Pam
Revisado: 04-21-17
I just finished reading 'Thank and grow rich' and I'm going to start it again. It just makes me so happy & puts me in that receptive state. Not to mention all of the weird synchronicitys that happened while listening. As a matter fact many of the 'coincidences' had just happened right before or while she mentioned them. Thank you Pam!
