I've read some of Stevens others works previously. This is different than those. The story actually aligns more with some of my favorite books so that's not a bad thing. I'd like to see a bit more character development if this story continues on but I enjoyed it as.

I've always enjoyed this series but her "romantic" moments are so cringe worthy. I think the series would have been so much more without semi clinical sex scenes with super weak descriptive terms.

Another delightful chapter in this fantastic filth-fest. I'd recommend not reading it beside small children or your grandmother. (Unless she's just really cool)

This story flows exactly the way I'd expect Auri to move. I wouldn't like this at all if it followed a traditional style. I wish more people would take chances with great ideas that don't flow along the anticipated path.

I do most of my listening at work (with headphones) or on my porch in the evening. This book was definitely loaded with fantastic amounts of graphic gooey gore. It was easy to kill basically everything since this book doesn't focus as much on the main characters from the previous books. If you still care what the world thinks about you, I'd recommend listening with headphones.

it just gets worse

It started off well enough but the second 2 parts of this story were awful. Lots of fake words and unbelievable storyline during the son's part. The wife, who sounded so strong in the other two parts, sounds like a blathering fan girl idiot during her own part.

I didn't even care that I was listening to a Christmas story in May. As soon as I realized that it existed, I bought it and started listening.

I definitely did not enjoy this as much as the main series. I'm way too attached to Bronson Pinchot at this point. The full cast didn't work for me at all. I couldn't even focus on the story. It sounds more like bad fan fiction than something from Correia.

Brain spiders?

I really enjoyed the book but there were too many brain spiders. I'm not particularly terrified by my 8 legged brain friends. It just became excessive at some point.

I enjoyed the story overall. It took me a bit to really get sucked in. The story definitely got darker as it progressed. There were a handful of issues with the recording. Random lines would repeat throughout the story. It wasn't frequent enough to make me stop listening.
