This audiobook was written from the perspective of a professor which gives a different insight unlike similar books I’ve read. I found myself in some of the examples given and even laughed at a few scenarios. The steps in this book are clear and concise which makes it an easy and effective read.

Different from the other books

A while ago I had been made aware that I’m being manipulated and since then have been doing my best to live intentionally. This particular book stands out from all of the other Dark Psychology books online, not just because it goes into depth regarding the why and how, but also because Kaizen does a phenomenal job illustrating points through elaborate storytelling. This really makes this difficult subject relatable and dare I say enjoyable. This was a great listen and I highly recommend it. If you want to stop allowing yourself to be forced into things and gain your control back, then you gotta listen to this book.

Pros and Cons I’ve Overlooked

Raising Backyard Chickens takes the perspective of actually treating your chickens with care while raising them. I’ve learned so many important signs through this book I’ve overlooked that will make a world of a difference! If you are looking to weigh the pros and cons of raising chickens then this book is for you.

As a mom of 2 littles and a business owner, I find it so difficult to try to fit in even 30 mins of exercise per day. This book reminded me that if I want to be there as long as I can for my kids, achieving a healthy weight is essential. I feel that the 6 steps in this book are simple enough to implement without taking any additional time away from my day.

Eye opening!

This book opened my eyes showing me how the little things I thought were no big deal actually significantly impact the planet. I had to get up and turn off all unnecessary waste as I was listening. After listening to this book, I now feel like I can actually help instead of harm the planet.

Stereotypes against women in the workplace is something that can no longer be ignored. Until we fix the issue, books like these will continue to be needed. The Leadership Handbook exposes the ridiculous assumptions that are made about us and gives solid advice on how to handle them. My biggest takeaway is that although we can not change other people, we can do our part to do all we can to be respected.

The past pandemic has left my family nervous about our financial security so I’m exploring different options. Real estate investing caught my attention but I didn’t know much about it. This book has answered a lot of my questions. I wasn’t sure if multifamily was the way the go but this book has given such thorough details that make it seem doable. I recommend this book to anyone curious about what all goes into multifamily real estate investing and need a place to start.

There is no easy way to hear that your baby no longer needs you to kiss their booboos to make the pain go away. And I’ll admit there was some tough talk in here that I wish I didn’t have to hear but no lies were told. This handbook goes deep into educating parents on what, why and how certain conversations need to be had with your teenagers but most importantly, why YOU as their parent must make time and be the one to do it. I recommend this book for anyone who is currently struggling and could use a hand with helping their teens get through this transitional age effectively to help them become a successful adult.

This meditation is so helpful! I’ve been journaling for years but having this guide helped bring more to the surface than my usual session. Going back to my childhood was very emotional but totally necessary. Highly recommend.
