Events are coming to a climax in the Banished Lands, as the war reaches new heights. King Nathair has taken control of the fortress at Drassil and three of the Seven Treasures are in his possession. And together with Calidus and his ally Queen Rhin, Nathair will do anything to obtain the remaining Treasures. With all seven under his command, he can open a portal to the Otherworld. Then Asroth and his demon-horde will finally break into the Banished Lands and become flesh.

More of the same slow, predictable nonsense
Revisado: 11-25-23
I ended up speeding up the playback time just to be finished with the series as quickly as possible. This book was more of the same incredibly predictable scenes that the first three books were plagued with. The series just never gets better.

More of the same and still very predictable
Revisado: 11-09-23
Same issues as first two books. Very slow and predictable. Every altercation has a last minute out of nowhere act that is too predictable. Bad guys always win, good guys escape then lose again. And repeat for three books so far. I’m pretty sure the good reviews for this book are from people very inexperienced with fantasy and they just don’t know what a good fantasy story really is.

As slow as the first book
Revisado: 10-30-23
Very slow pace through a story where only predictable bad things happen to the characters.

Do not hesitate. Do not contemplate mercy. The Lorian empire took everything from Dayne. His family. His home. His people. He will carve a bloody path through Epheria. He will have his vengeance, by blade and by blood. This is his story...the story of The Exile.

Great story but should’ve been included with book 2
Revisado: 09-25-23
Great story and worth listening too but shouldn’t have too lose a credit for a few hours. It could have been included with book 2 the way The Fall was included with book 1.
