STOP. You should not have touched this flyer with your bare hands. NO, don't put it down. It's too late. They're watching you. My name is David Wong. My best friend is John. Those names are fake. You might want to change yours. You may not want to know about the things you'll read on these pages, about the sauce, about Korrok, about the invasion, and the future. But it's too late. You touched the book. You're in the game. You're under the eye. The only defense is knowledge. You need to read this book, to the end. Even the part with the bratwurst. Why?

Historia
According to Kurt Vonnegut's alter ego, the old science fiction writer Kilgore Trout, a global timequake will occur on February 13, 2001, at 2:27 p.m. It will be the moment when the universe suffers a crisis of conscience: Should it go on expanding indefinitely or collapse and make another great big BANG? For its own cosmic reasons, it decides to back up a decade to 1991, giving the world a 10-year case of deja vu, making everybody and everything do exactly what they'd done during the past decade.

Huh...
Revisado: 08-13-21
Only Vonnegut could get away with writing a long winded foreword about a book he felt was unpublishable, tack on an afterword.... and call it done. Not one of his best, but still Kurt Vonnegut.

Disappointing
Revisado: 11-27-20
I really wanted this book to be good... I tried to convince myself all through reading it that it was... Or eventually that it would get better... It just really feels forced. Definitely a let down after the first book.
Feels kind of like a contractual book just trying to establish itself so they can make a movie out of it. How depressing is that‽
You should absolutely read it if you enjoyed the first book... It's definitely a progression on the story. Just don't expect it to have the same compelling draw of the first book.
It's mostly just a bunch of characters that are less likeable than you remember them, being pushed around by a bunch of tired tropes glued together by some 80s pop trivia.
Wil Wheaton was fantastic as usual.

yup.
Revisado: 10-06-20
I have to admit... I'm always a little cynical of fantasy writers dabbling in sci-fi... too much magic/handwavium, not enough "science". I'll give Paolini credit... he did an awesome job of it. It did have some hand-wavy stuff but definitely did a lot of homework and built a compelling universe. I'll definitely be looking forward to the sequel.
I'd also like to mention that Jennifer Hale did a fantastic job and I hope she sticks around and reads more audiobooks.

Nope.

Comes across like fan fiction written by someone who skimmed Ender's Game 15 years ago but didn't feel they needed to revisit it before writing this trainwreck. Performance and production are solid, at least.
