Delightful listen for me and my kids on our short commute. The Cobble Street cousins have unique interests, personalities, and go on fun adventures together. We immediately listened to the second book. Wish they had the whole series on audiobook.

Historia
This superb collection of larger-than-life folk heroes aptly represents America’s robust early days, perfectly capturing the vitality of the men and women who carved a new country out of the North American wilderness. Author Mary Pope Osborne supplies a fascinating introduction to each tale and then gives her own original twist to the telling of it. Scott Snivley takes the listener on a wild ride from sea to shining sea in this classic collection, which includes Davy Crocket, Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind, Johnny Appleseed, Stormalong, Mose, Febold Feboldson, Pecos Bill, John Henry, and Paul Bunyan.

Excellent Author and Narrator

We read this book first and it was so good, we decided to listen to it too! The stories were retold in a way I have never heard before and I loved it. Johnny Appleseed made me cry. I would definitely recommend you read or listen to this with your kids. The narrator was also amazing. He was enthusiastic and had great character accents.

Historia
The life of John Hancock, contemporary of Samuel Adams and Paul Revere, and first to sign the Declaration of Independence, is featured in this volume of the Young Patriots series. Detailing Hancock's early years, this work focuses on his relationship with boyhood friend John Adams and his academic struggles with what he would later become most famous for: his writings.

We enjoyed learning about the boyhood of John Hancock. Narrator was pleasant to listen hear and easy to follow along. I wish this series had many more on audio for my kids to enjoy.

Everyone knows that John Hancock was one of the first signers of the Declaration of Independence. But not many know that he signed his name so large to show how mad he was about how the colonists had been treated. This witty audiobook highlights little-known facts about this historical figure.
