The narrator did a wonderful job switching between characters in the story! The story itself wasn't really my speed because of the descriptive sex escapades and the very strong and frequent language. If those things are your speed then you will enjoy the book... I do love a good sappy love story and this didn't disappoint in that area, but I had a hard time getting past the constant string of cursing.

This book is part of a series, however I was unaware it would be largely focused around miscarriage, infertility, IVF, foster parenting and children reuniting with drug addicted parents, etc. For most readers, this is likely no big deal, but if you've dealt with loss and been through IVF, parts can be hard to listen to. Especially if you're still in the midst of the infertility journey. The author once said that the fertility doctor was "playing God". I took offense to that, because if God doesn't have it in His plan for IVF to work, it won't, regardless of the doctor's ability and the science and technology available to us. The story was suspenseful and the book is a clean read, but if you're in this season of life, just be aware that it's a large part of the storyline.
