Wath is wrong with people?!?

ask your boyfriend to do the right!?! thing and marry me, because we cheated on you one time and I got pregnant.

how is that EVER the rigtigt thing to do???
yeach your son it is okay to cheat, and to manipulate a person into marriage, as long as there is a child?

if they don't love each other, and if one or both of them are cheaters, how can that ever be good for the child to grow up in?
to normalise that a loveless and resentful marriage is better than two adults co-parenting in friendship and in loving and respectful relationships with other people. disgraceful.

otherwise a somewhat decent read.
this is my second time listening to this story, so it is not all together abhorrent.

Erotica with a bit of action

so. I just finished reading Tallowwood, and thought that was great, therefore I bought this book.
Sadly I can't recommend it to anyone. Unless you are looking for juvenile written erotica with a splash of superficial action, a repetitive writingstyle and a woe is me attitude
this was definitely not for me.

he was unwilling and she pushed herself on him, even when he tried to get away. that is NOT okay, and it should NOT have been explained away with "She was too druk as well". she was the initiator, and should be held responsible. at least from the author.

Bad. Really really bad.
Unbelievable scenarios, unbelievable interactions and unlikely reactions.
so the guy were just bitten, and they should just forgive and forget?
he has no trauma about it, and interacts like it was not a big deal?
it is unbelievable and unengaging.
It will be a return for me.

real world clashing with fairytale

if you can stomach romanticision of forced prostitution - aka rape - don't mind a light approach to slavery and can get past the diminishing of the horror of being inslaved, then this is actually a quite entertaining story.
I quite like the book, but find the author somewhat lacking in empathy and human understanding. The approach to forced prostitution is lacking in decency, but I hope I life well lived will give some perspective into how people subjugated to slavery or rape or sexual abuse will feel or act in given circumstances, cause this was not a believable take. otherwise a light and intertaining book.

So childish and immature main caracter. lived in a small town most of his life, and still don't know to ignore or question town gossip.
He constantly assumes instead of talking things out. he is an idiot. and I can't even. I had to speed the story up quite a bit to get through it. and I still don't know if I can.

why bother

I tried again. Don't really know why I bother, the stories continue to be trite.
I liked the first couple of series on audible, but lately they could just as well not have been. There are no substance. No depth nor any surprises. It is bland like an US TVseries.
The sad thing is I used to like this author, a sure buy. Now I won't bother anymore.

Corny and lazy

the writing started out well, but quickly became lazy.
we are told a lot- like the author was writing a movie and not a book. there are a lot describing how things look, and not a lot of actually taking us there and letting us experience what is happening.
and then there are all of the corny dialogue.
lost interest, but have a hangover so it actually almost met my level of brain dead.

sad as the story started out quite good.

both story and writing could be a whole of a lot better.
I do not get the high ratings this audio has gotten, it is medicore at best.
First there are the over-explaning.
Next there are the overuse of names instead of using he and she. it is annoying.
And then there are the stupidity of the story.
I got to the point where MC rings his brother to warn him about the Alpha being a murder, but do not tell him for ?!reasons?! makes no sence.
so this is a return.
