Historia
Graphic designer Sonya MacTavish is stunned to learn that her late father had a twin he never knew about—and that her newly discovered uncle, Collin Poole, has left her almost everything he owned, including a majestic Victorian house on the Maine coast, which the will stipulates she must live in for at least three years. Her engagement recently broken, she sets off to find out why the boys were separated at birth—and why it was all kept secret until a genealogy website brought it to light.

Cliffhanger
Revisado: 09-14-24
Fascinating story - loved the (spoiler alert) invisible supporters but hated that it ended on a cliffhanger! Not fair when we have to wait almost a year for the next part of the tale.

Best book ever
Revisado: 08-06-24
I listen to this book frequently, most often one chapter at a time for several days. The author kept sheep for years & knows them completely and thus interprets Psalm 23 for us looking at the reality of sheep rearing & how it can apply to our lives. There are so many other places in scripture where God talks of us as his sheep & this helps me interpret those passages also. Gratitude to the author & his Good Shepherd!

Best Charles & Anna story yet
Revisado: 01-12-24
Charles & Anna go to Arizona to buy her a horse from his good Navajo friend Anna never heard of; they find Joseph dying and his family having troubles with the Fae tho they supposedly went behind the walls of the reservations. This excellent tale gives more insight into the pain of werewolves with aging family & friends and brings back FBI Leslie from ‘Fair Game’ and, amazingly enough, two good agents from Cantrip (CNTRP)! As well as the basic story, there are many fascinating side stories.

The Honourable Christopher Fancot, on leave from the diplomatic service in the summer of 1817, is startled to find his entrancing but incorrigibly extravagant mother on the brink of financial and social ruin - and more than alarmed to find that his twin, Evelyn, has disappeared without trace. Christopher - Kit - is forced into an outrageous masquerade by the tangled affairs of his wayward family: his rigid uncle, Lord Brumby; the surprisingly wily Sir Bonamy Ripple; the formidable old Lady Stavely and Evelyn's betrothed, Cressy.

A favorite!
Revisado: 10-20-23
This book of twins, one of whom takes another’s place for an evening to save embarrassment & is drawn deeper & deeper shows the love between mother & sons beautifully and is full of fun besides. The characters of the family as well as the intended fiancée & her grandmama and the mother’s most devoted admirer are expressed most completely.

Historia
Mackenzie Allen Phillips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack one wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.

Amazing healing story
Revisado: 03-01-23
This book starts like so many others, with a heart-rending tragedy, and the pain that results. Then the father in the story is invited to meet with God, or Papa as his wife calls God, and the following conversations with Papa, Jesus, and the Spirit are very much about the loving heart of God and our need for true relationship with God & those we know. I especially was struck by the section on how we’ve taken living verbs like expect and respond & turned then into the dead nouns, expectations & responsibilities that add pressure & drudgery to life instead of joy.
