I was hesitant to try this one because it is so long, but it flew by so fast I was alarmed when it was over. This is a fantastic biography written with love and will also challenge you to determine your principles. Everyone should read this book, especially with all that is going on in the world.

Comic to Recording, but not just for comic fans!

I loved it! Firstly I didn't know a DC comic was so cool. I was blown away by some of the amazing short stories! Highly recommended, not just for comic fans!

Science

Very informative and fact based. Climate change is real and we should plan and have good responses, but we can't even have those conversations because we are so ill informed by politicians and alarmists. This causes people to say science and scientists can't be trusted when really it's the reporting and people trying to use the science for other purposes that can't be trusted; and that's dangerous. I'm going to get a copy for each of my kids! Thank you for this book!

He's back!

I'm glad Dennis E Tayor found another topic he is clearly interested in! Like Bobiverse, the story can be technologically complex and yet the story flows so nicely it will be over before you're ready. Can't wait for the next one. This is the new and improved "Long Earth".

The Prequals are the Best Yet!!

Michael J Sullivan is getting better with each release and this book is one of the best examples of what he can do. There were moments in this story that I had to turn it off because the suspense was too great. The First Empire might be the best prequel books ever written and the ending of this story is pure genius.

Not just another space alien war book, trust me.

I have been avoiding this book for some time now because I did not want another space alien war novel. In my experience, they are usually sickeningly formulaic: 1) Human's doing day to day things, 2) scientists see something weird, 3) big reveal with force and awe, 4) humans cower. 5) humans win through some weak sometimes silly trick or over site by the aliens (Like being water soluble and here to eat 70% water beings! durp!). I am happy to report that Columbus Day was like a breath of fresh air in the SciFi genre.

Yes there is a war between aliens as in almost every Sci Fi I have read, but everything else was so unique and fun I couldn't put this one down. Good fun!

I feel like even Dennis Taylor was bored with this concept by the time he was about 3/4 through this book; which is a shame because it started so strong. I would not recommend it. Weak finish.

Something New

These books are entirely different from anything you've experienced yet. Aleron Kong has created something new he calls LitRPG, which, if you enjoy video games, fantasy, or role playing you will love. I'm not sure if everyone will enjoy them, but as of now there are 7 books out which I flew threw without much thought to which book I was on at any given point. By the time I reached the end of book 7 I was surprised and disappointed to see there was not another ready for me to continue on. This is how smooth and fun these books are. Highly recommended for fellow video game, fantasy, or role play game enjoying readers.

Why won't it stop?

Geraldo Rivera couldn't control the fact there was nothing in Al Capone's vault, but Dan Brown has full power over his own vaults.

I couldn't wait for this one to end. The final few minutes were so Cliché I should have rather reread Space Odessey.
