A surgical resident, she throws herself into study and work, trying to forget - until Jack's sister Maude shows up. Maude suspects foul play, and she is determined to prove it. Wow!!
Revisado: 05-05-19
Made it to chapter 3 and had to quit listening. Too much profanity. It amazes me that " amazing " writers have to use vulgar words to get points across. It does not add any value to the story , so why do it ? I was looking forward to the read. I enjoyed the little that I heard of the narrator's voice and will seek out cleaner books that she reads.

Like the book, dislike the narration

I've listened to the first book and hoped the narration would be less irritating. Unfortunately she didn't get any better.

I finished listening the book , but it was painful listening to the narrator. I could get the others in the series if they were read by someone else.

What should have been a really great book was messed up with all that profanity. Why does an excellent writer need to use such coarse language ? I listened to the end but cringed ever time the characters cussed .

Another well written book by Dee Henderson. Powerful story with an unexpected ending. I love the way she brought in the OMalley series. I think I'm going to read those books again.

What was Ms Woods thinking?
Revisado: 08-10-17
This was s great story that would have gotten 5 stars from me if it wasn't for the graphic sex. Here we are presented with this upstanding, moral " Sunday school teacher" who had no problem committing fornication, and was upset that the parents of her students considered her a poor example. I thought I would get all the audio books in the series, now I'm sure I won't.

As a medical examiner, Serena Hopkins is used to dealing with death. But that doesn't make it any easier when she's called to the eerie scene of a murder - especially when Serena realizes that she knows the victim. Nearly as unnerving is the presence of FBI agent Dominic Allen, her childhood crush. As evidence mounts and points to a serial killer with disturbingly familiar methods, Serena and Dominic must work to find a pattern and stop the killings before the murderer strikes again.

Revisado: 08-05-17
This is the worst narration ever. I cannot believe Ms. Eason and the producer didn't preview this work before releasing it. The first book was well done, therefore I didn't bother to check it out before purchasing. Regret that.

Revisado: 06-26-17
I cringed as I listened to most of this book. One of the worst narration ever. All the female parts were bad, the male parts were a little more tolerable. I normally just buy Audiblebooks if I like the story line, I'm now going to make sure I listen first before purchasing.

Poor writing. Poor narration. The narrator stumbled over simple words, showed no emotions. He read the entire story dried, and lifeless. Not good.

Historia
Casey Cox’s DNA is all over the crime scene. There’s no use talking to police; they’ve failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she’s arrested . . . or worse. The truth doesn’t matter anymore. But what is the truth? That’s the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren’t adding up.
