What a journey!

The story wasn’t what I was expecting, but Noni’s laugh out loud adventures and the epiphanies of her quest were such a trip. I really enjoyed joining her on her journey! Also, the narrator is Australian so pretty much everything sounds cooler with that accent.

Abby’s books are so much fun to read and I LOVE how the weaves her various stories together through Easter eggs or character reappearances. This book is no exception.

Love more of Vero!!!

LOVED getting more of Vero’s story!!! She’s hilarious and it’s super cool getting to know more of her history before Finley. The narrator was meh, which is weird because Elle’s narrators are normally awesome, but the story is still enjoyable and its short enough that the weird emphasis on random words and the way she says statements as if they’re questions is tolerable. Overall, still loved it!

Another winner from Abby!

This is another AMAZING story from Abby. The repetitive self-doubt did get annoying after awhile, but that’s also how self-doubt is so that was probably part of the point. I love, love, LOVE Abby’s characters and her sense of humor. There were so many points where I’d be laughing out loud as I listened to this, which more than balanced out the eye rolls at the reoccurring doubt sessions. 100% worth the credit!

Enjoyable on a long drive

This was included with Audible Plus so I felt comfortable taking a chance on something I wouldn’t normally buy, and I’m glad I did! I love audio books but they have a harder time holding my husband‘a attention. On a very long drive though, he gave it a shot. Wound up being a win!

The narrator is really entertaining, it’s hard to say whether the story would have gripped us as much without his variety of voices pulling us in. We had a fun time trying to figure out the mystery as the story went on too. This book helped pass the time as we were stuck in the car all day and had us talking through our theories even during food or music breaks. It’s not the type of creepy we were expecting and it can be slow at times, but overall we enjoyed it.

A good read, but a sad one

So refreshing to hear his story from the source, rather than the twisted version spun by the tabloids. He has lived such a tormented life, hopefully he can find peace in speaking his truth and finding freedom from the institution who allowed him and his family to be hunted.

Really challenging to get through...

I enjoy PG novels, despite their occasional historical inaccuracies. That said, this is by far my least favorite. This book is solely from Margaret’s sulky and overly entitled point of view, not all three sisters. The first half of the book I thoroughly despised the main character, while the second half I tolerated her just so I could finish the book. Margaret was petty, jealous, and spiteful. There were MANY points throughout where I literally yelled out loud “oh, come ON!” at Margaret’s awful and childish behavior. With roughly 6 hours left I stopped staring at the progress bar and praying the book would end soon, so I suppose that’s about the point where she becomes less awful to listen to.

The narrator was incredible. She saved the book for me. Her range of accents was really impressive and even though the story itself got on my nerves, the way the she said it held me as a listener.

One of the best books I’ve listened to this year

This is hands down one of the best books I’ve listened to this year. I found myself really invested in the characters, my heart aching when they were sad and my hands clapping when they were victorious. It was not the story I was expecting to hear whenever I started it, but the surprise route it took turned out better than I imagined when it was originally downloaded. Definitely recommend checking this out.

Quite enjoyable!

This was quite enjoyable to listen to! I wasn’t riveted on the edge of my seat with suspense or anything, but it was great to listen to as I did chores around the house or drove around town running errands. I normally go for more intense stories, so this was a lovely and relaxing break from that.

Whoa!

This book has one wild turn after the next! I knew there were a series of unexpected reveals throughout the story before I began so I was on the lookout for clues, but most of them still caught me by surprise. This was fantastic and I couldn’t put it down once I started. Totally recommend to anyone looking for a delicious and suspenseful story that’ll keep you guessing the whole way through.
