Penny never disappoints. Great listen. Great narration. Superb character development and suspenseful story. Keep listening and you'll be rewarded with a complex mystery thriller.

Lousy writing, stupid analogies everywhere

I tried to return this book while on the first chapter. Juvenile writing style. I bought this book on one of the sales so was unable to return , so I finished the book. It didn't get any better. I can't believe that this book got a 4.5 as it was a painful listen, stupid analogies and pages of off-topic dialog, little character development beside clothing and appearance descriptions. I'll never buy another Coben.

Narration is Great!

I finished the book and thoroughly enjoyed both the story and narration. The story line is unique and refreshing, the narration well paced and very appropriate for the heroines portrayed in the story. I don't understand the narration negativity.

Very entertaining!

Fast moving story, well written, humor and suspense a plenty. The narration was spot on, capturing the Irish accent while keeping it intelligible, with good differentiation of characters.

Why the high ratings?

I'm half-way into this book and am returning it. By now, some semblance of a plot should have materialized. Instead I've suffered through long and detailed descriptions of gay encounters, childish banter, and general nonsense. Maybe the 2nd half is better, but I'll never know.

Dry recount of too many transactions

While I appreciate the research that went into this book, I found the reporting of dozens of fraudulent transactions and extravagant spending too clinical and not terribly entertaining. It was difficult to keep all the characters straight without referring to the written guide so this is not one to “read” in your car.

Not his best

The story line is definitely not Brown’s best. The audio is full of extraneous sounds ( like lip smacking) which should been edited. The reader was excellent, editor not so much. The book was disappointing and not up to Langdon series quality.
