This is a cozy murder mystery - Stephanie Plum lite book (same general plot and characters), just like the Plum books - there is an Italian family, older person obsessed with funerals, a cheating husband, two hot men (one who is a cop) and lots of cookies (instead of donuts).

There were points where I didn't want to finish it, just stop listening and be done. This is because the characters are just meh... The main character is a doormat - the victim is written so that no one really cares that she is dead. Unlike the Plum books - this one lacks the humor and wit.

Psychological thriller that I couldn't put down!

Trigger warnings - sexual assault and rape.

A long forgotten sexual assault - a current assault that opens the flood gates. This book was really entertaining - the narrative goes directly to the point without a ton of unnecessary details.

I couldn't stop listening to this story of survival - I wanted to know more and more about Emily and her journey throughout the struggles of a past assault that her mind buried and a current assault that forced her into therapy.

No! The story was alright but the reader sucked big time....

I knew the ending..... before half way.....through.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Emma Galvin?

Anyone would have done better. I will never buy another that she reads.

Heck yes, because the main character is a stand up person who is trying to find herself after divorce and moving in with daddy.

Yes and no, I would if the author writes another but if that happens than nope.

I laughed inside several times and at others I could not keep from rewinding it because I seemed to miss something due to laughing out loud.
