Would someone please refund my money. Between the adolescence in the writing in the poor performance of the reader, I could not finish this book. The way in which the writer had the characters performing action is so idiotic that it’s just not believable. For starters why would a normal couple, one being a police officer have a lock on their 10 year-old daughter‘s bedroom door? The lack of emotion that the reader is reading with leaves an entire world to be desired. Two checkers in and I realize just how stressed out I was over this book, why am I reading this? Why am I subject to this malarkey? Then it hit me, no one is forcing me. I can just hit stop and move on. You’ve been warned.

What’s that out? The most to me is her calling Jesus a criminal. Wow!

I’m very disappointed in this book. I thought this book would be factual, but indeed it is more a book of self indulgence and opinions by the author. Read this book with caution. It is nothing more than a fairytale, A book of fiction. Very little fact, a whole lot of propaganda.

Fantasy

This book was more fantasy than fiction. The main cast of characters made decisions that were just so far-fetched and yet miraculously they survived. We know it’s a book of fiction, but we still like our characters to have some semblance of responsible decision-making.

Poor judgement

We know these stories are fiction, but that does not give license to poor judgment. I believe most readers like their characters to make decisions as they would. The storyline had such great potential for me, but it never quite developed. And the ending was so far-fetched that what little substance the story had was all taken away

Hidden Racism

White guy attacked by Dino’s and lives, black attacked and dies. What makes it worse is the white guy was the antagonist while the black guy was on the good team. Further more, the lady was attacked and left for dead by the bad guys. She lived but never mentioned that they tried to kill her. She just went in as if nothing happened. Thank goodness for the movie since this book wasn’t worth a darn.

Reader Beware!

I wasted my time reading this book and by writing this review, you don’t have to. The author did a little to no research in preparation for this book. I understand it’s a work of fiction but there’s another title I’d give it. The simplest little details were missed time jumps and a punctuations that the reader are supposed to make were just unnecessary. The entire book felt rushed. it was as if the author had an idea, but had no real way to execute it. The characters in this book truly were a work of fiction. Normal people just don’t think or act the way these characters did. Again I know it’s a work of fiction, but it read almost like fantasy. I truly believe that a highschooler could’ve done a better job. I can’t go into detail in case you want to read it/waste your time, but this book was truly truly horrible.

What kind of racist 1970s book is this? Still today people of color are the bad guy and the one person of color who is good dies first! But I guess I shouldn’t be surprised as white people write books for white people not for all people.

Lame Love Story

Thought for sure an end of life as we know it book would be action packed! Boy was I wrong. They took a very real possibility and added a heavy dose of love. Stay tuned as I’m sure you’ll find this book as a Life Time movie. Yes there was a fair amount of action, however it was over shadowed by the hero talking about his feelings. Wow. Stay tuned for part two when the lovers pick up counseling.

Typical hidden racism

Importance significant people of color die while important significant people who are not of color live and get to be the hero. It’s all been done before over and over again. Nothing new to read here. The reader of this book was the only bright spot in the collaboration. I thought he did a great job with what he had to work with.
