As an African American male listener, teacher and scholar, I found the content of this book affirming. Mary Francis Winters has successfully penned much of my lived experience as an educated Black male in America. Her book should be required reading for institutions desiring to become anti-racist. The theme; “How Racism Erodes the Mind Body, and Spirit” should compel humanists to read this book. Racism kills. Ms. Winters, thank you for being courageous and selfless in expressing centuries of “Black Fatigue”. Black people can only hope that our white brothers and sisters will heed the call to help Blacks overcome ‘black fatigue.’ Reading this book is a great start. Winters provides some excellent questions at the end of the book to get us moving towards an anti-racist society. It starts with authentic, courageous dialogue.

Great book on how to get your prayer life moving in the right direction. Pastor Greear provides practical suggestions on improving your prayer life. The narration is good and not preachy. He ends the text with ten practical ways on starting (or improving) your prayer life.
