However, the book is filled with unnecessary foul language.
The author, Anthony, is a very talented writer and I would love to read more of his books, but I am not sure I can handle this amount of cussing.
I understand the military is littered with those who use cussing words like it's the only vocabulary they have, but a writer should be more creative, using cussing words sparingly will have a greater impact when they are used...finding alternatives will show a creativity readers will love.
I guarantee you won't lose readers by using less foul language if the story is good and the characters are likeable, but you will gain more readers by finding alternatives to cussing.
I would give this series 5 stars but for excessive/repetitive language...

if a writer has to marinate, soak, saturate, imbue, immerse....his story with more foul words than decent language, I would say he needs to try a different career. my suggestion to the writer is try being creative, using so many curse words is a sign of a lack if talent...
as for the reader, there are better writers out there that won't smother you with weak stories using even weaker words.

wonderfully written story, but I don't recommend for kids or those that hate a ton of foul language. the author has such talent, but can't seem to escape the idea that foul language is the norm...not for everyone!
