Historia
The year is 2033. The world has been reduced to rubble. Humanity is nearly extinct and the half-destroyed cities have become uninhabitable through radiation. Beyond their boundaries, they say, lie endless burned-out deserts and the remains of splintered forests. Survivors still remember the past greatness of humankind, but the last remains of civilisation have already become a distant memory. Man has handed over stewardship of the earth to new life-forms. A few score thousand survivors live on, not knowing whether they are the only ones left on Earth....

A strange adventure. 5/5
Revisado: 11-25-23
The world of Metro is a strange place but an extremely interesting one. NO SPOILERS HERE.
I’ll start with the plot, it does a great job in introducing our main character, Artyom, he has a lot of growth and the writer does a great job in making you feel like you are discovering the world with him, it’s a great mix of adventure, mystery, action and horror.
The narration is amazing! The narrator drops you into the world and brings the characters to life. 10/10 one of the best narrators I have ever listened to, he’s in my top 3 because of this performance.

Great narration, great story
Revisado: 06-29-23
This is from what I can tell a stand alone story. If there is more coming down the road or other book’s following these characters I will be overjoyed!
The narration is solid! Not something I can say for most battletech books, Trent Sparks almost always delivers a solid performance though.
The story is short but good! Good character development, it’s short but it leaves you wanting more and I think that’s the downside of this book, I really want more content following these characters.

Revisado: 06-12-23
I don’t want to spoil anything so I will keep this short.
This is the third book in the grey death legion saga and maybe the best! Each book in the saga gets better.
The grey death has a wide variety of characters new and returning, all are interesting. The book has a fun gripping story with some twists and turns. There is an unexpected musical number that is fantastic… really really good.
Get the book and enjoy! You don’t have to be a battletech fan to enjoy this book or this series!

The book picks up not too long after the events of the first book. The characters, the action and the villains are one upped in this book. I wish I could give it 6 stars.

Historia
Once, the Galaspar System suffered under the cruel regime of the Order. Billions of people toiled endlessly to enrich their masters, enduring short lives of poverty, squalor and fear. But Galaspar’s sins did not go unnoticed by the Imperium, and so Death itself sentenced the Order to annihilation. Mortarion, newly uplifted to commander of the Death Guard, descended upon the world, and with him came a slaughter of untold proportions. The sheer brutality of Mortarion’s campaign left the Imperium appalled.

Legends abound of the glorious - or infamous - deeds of the emperor's sons. Yet almost nothing is known of Alpharius, the most mysterious of them all, for the lord of the Alpha Legion is unparalleled in the art of obfuscation. Such are his gifts of secrecy and deceit that even his rediscovery has remained an enigma - until now. But when the tale comes from the serpent’s mouth, where do the lies end and the truth begin?
