Historia
From the author of the number one international best seller Gomorrah comes an electrifying investigation of the international cocaine trade, as vicious as it is powerful, and its hidden role in the global economy. In many countries, “000” flour is the finest on the market. It is hard to find, but it is soft, light, almost impalpable - like the purest, highest quality grade of cocaine. ZeroZeroZero is also the title of Roberto Saviano’s unforgettable, internationally best-selling exploration of the inner workings of the global cocaine trade.

Very Passionate and Detailed.
Revisado: 01-21-21
This book gives a detailed explanation about the history and current cocaine epidemic. Some very gruesome stories about the inner workings of the cartels. I highly recommend this book.

A great book for these complicated times. Reminded me that this country has dealt with tough times in its history and we used to respond. Will we respond and unite this time. I say yes

Historia
Chefs, Drugs and Rock & Roll transports listeners back in time to witness the remarkable evolution of the American restaurant chef in the 1970s and 1980s. Andrew Friedman goes inside Chez Panisse and other Bay Area restaurants to show how the politically charged backdrop of Berkeley helped spark this new profession; into the historically underrated community of Los Angeles chefs, including a young Wolfgang Puck; and into the clash of cultures between established French chefs in New York City and the American game changers.

A Great Overview of American Chefs
Revisado: 08-21-20
This is a great book. It doesn't go into too much detail but does give a cliff notes version of how most of the big hitter chefs made their way.

"That Chef is Crazy!"
Revisado: 08-02-20
I really enjoyed this book. Lots of stories from the kitchens of a volatile profession.
Marco explains how driven he was at a young age to be the best. The kitchen was his life. He showed that to cook at his level you have to be single minded in focus.
Marco Pierre White was arguably the best chef in the world at one point and then he was gone. Very interesting person in culinary history.

They are coming. The countdown has begun. First visible only as blips on a telescope image, the discovery of objects approaching from Jupiter's orbit immediately sets humanity on edge. NASA doesn't even bother to deny the alien ships' existence. The popular Astral space app (broadcasting from the far side of the moon and accessible by anyone with Internet) has already shown the populace what is coming.

I couldn't Stop Listening To This Book
Revisado: 02-14-20
I loved this book. I could feel the emotions the characters were going through. tons of suspense from beginning to end.
As the family travels across the country you can imagine the despair they are going through as they fight their way through one struggle after another. When they get to their safe house in the middle of Colorado they find their troubles have just begun. The knowledge of the spacecraft approaching is kind of in the background and the chaos it is causing is on the front burner in this book.
I can't wait to read the 2nd book.

“Buy the ticket, take the ride,” was a favorite slogan of Hunter S. Thompson, and it pretty much defined both his work and his life. Fear and Loathing at Rolling Stone showcases the roller-coaster of a career at the magazine that was his literary home.
