Historia
When COVID-19 sweeps through New York City, Jamie Gray is stuck as a dead-end driver for food-delivery apps. That is, until Jamie makes a delivery to an old acquaintance, Tom, who works at what he calls “an animal rights organization”. Tom’s team needs a last-minute grunt to handle things on their next field visit. Jamie, eager to do anything, immediately signs on. What Tom doesn't tell Jamie is that the animals his team cares for are not here on Earth. Not our Earth, at at least. In an alternate dimension, dinosaur-like creatures named Kaiju roam a warm and human-free world.

"Pop Song"
Revisado: 03-19-22
As the author says in his afterward, this is a pop song of a novel that hits the right notes when you just need a little something light and catchy. Wil Wheaton could easily be the protagonist and does his usual masterful performance.

Great Performance
Revisado: 11-21-20
The narrator of this book was perfect for the story. It was a fantastic choice and the man did an amazing job.
As for the story. The world is fascinating even if some of the content was cliche. As the story progresses I'm sure we will see more archetypal governments and their pitfalls. I'm on board. Fun listen

Historia
The name's Fetch Phillips - what do you need? Cover a Gnome with a crossbow while he does a dodgy deal? Sure. Find out who killed Lance Niles, the big-shot businessman who just arrived in town? I'll give it shot. Help an old-lady Elf track down her husband's murderer? That's right up my alley. What I don't do, because it's impossible, is search for a way to bring the goddamn magic back.

Better than the first
Revisado: 10-26-20
This was amazing. The story was captivating and the emotion in the author's voice as he read made you wonder if he was reliving a true experience. This novel felt more well rounded, had a clear identity and no wasted movement. I can't wait for more tales from the world.

Millions of people visit xkcd.com each week to read Randall Munroe's iconic webcomic. His stick-figure drawings about science, technology, language, and love have a large and passionate following. Fans of xkcd ask Munroe a lot of strange questions. What if you tried to hit a baseball pitched at 90 percent of the speed of light? How fast can you hit a speed bump while driving and live? If there were a robot apocalypse, how long would humanity last?

Fun and Funny
Revisado: 10-19-20
Set aside the fact that most the book is really just a recap of the website stories already published it is fun to listen to the incredulity in Wil Wheaton's voice. All in all an interesting and fun listen.

Historia
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

An introduction to the next book...
Revisado: 07-20-20
It's hard to put this into a novel category despite it's length, this novella sets up the next book which seems to be a batlle Royale for the city of Chicago. luckily we don't have long to wait. it's obvious that the author was working out some of his recent trials in the work with the family dynamics front and center. I will still read everything Dresden. a great world with endless possibilities

Tiresome final installment
Revisado: 05-05-20
The series as a whole is an impressive feat, however the second and third books could have been half the length and accomplished the goal. there were characters introduced that served no purpose and scenes that did nothing the enhance the story or dragged on for too long in an effort to build suspense. In the end only my completionism took me across the finish line as I had no real connection to the story anymore

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Wonderful
Revisado: 05-01-20
The story of a life in Appalachia that is all too common. An incredible young man who has overcome his circumstances thanks to the care of a few strong willed hillbillies.
The way in which J.D. tells his story is heartfelt and authentic. I worry sometimes when authors read their own work, but this wasn't work for him, this was his life and he bared it for all to see, an amazing act of courage and honesty in the hopes of helping other from communities like his find their own American dream.
