I bought this book for the reader. His voice is riveting and worth listening to. Put Scott Bricks voice on top of a great story and you've got gold.

loved the twist and turns.
Revisado: 06-21-16
The story was compelling and the test and turns kept me gripped. Still not sure of Mark's total innocence in regard to Teresa or Glory. Never saw the ending working out like it did. Mr. Freeman built a cyclone that kept spinning until all the pieces feel into place. Love Mr. Barrett's voice, I could listen to read the tax law and still be riveted.

Heartbreaking
Revisado: 05-28-14
Would you listen to Flowers for Algernon again? Why?
Even when the ending was clear and inevitable I still wanted Charlie's fate to be different. He was a character you cheered for and wept for and wanted the absolute best for. He was an unexpected hero. His rise and fall were heart wrenching, especially when the people around him continued to fail him. Their insecurities became his obstacles, they could only accept him when they considered him to be less.
What did you like best about this story?
Charlie's awakening and realization that people he thought he could trust had betrayed him by treating him as a source of entertainment instead of as a friend.
Which character – as performed by Jeff Woodman – was your favorite?
Charlie.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Be careful what you wish for.

Until one day Jacob mysteriously appears on their doorstep - flesh and blood, their sweet, precocious child, still eight years old. All over the world people's loved ones are returning from beyond.

More interesting then the TV version.
Revisado: 04-02-14
What did you love best about The Returned?
The story from start to finish was about more than just the people coming back, it was about a family and a community dealing with the loss of a child, a loss that is not erased even if the child returns.
What did you like best about this story?
The new relationship between Harold and Jacob, and the sacrifices made.
Which character – as performed by Tom Stechschulte – was your favorite?
Harold was my favorite character. His honest and raw reaction to his son's return really made me sympathetic to him.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I've watched the French show The Returned and I'm currently watching the US version of the book - Resurrection. Mr. Mott's vision of the story really drew me in and made me finish the audio sooner than I had planned (binge listening). He drew a picture of the characters, the community, the "prison camp" and town that was easily visualized. Not sure if I like the twist the television series is taking away from Mr. Mott's original story line, but time will tell.

Team Teagarden All the Way!!!
Revisado: 06-11-12
Where does Bone to Pick rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Bone to Pick ranks pretty high among the audiobooks I have consumed. It kept my attention start to finish.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, it was engaging, funny, and an enjoyable read (listen).
Which character – as performed by Therese Plummer – was your favorite?
All of them. Some books really don't transfer well to audio, mainly because the characters are not distinctive enough for you to recognize them based on their actions/attitudes/tone. But Ms. Harris defined distinct characters who stand out alone.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes it was, and yes I did.
