I am so happy that books 1-3 were offered in one reading. It made it so much easier to listen to the series, something I would have done regardless. I felt that it was absolutely wonderful, very well written, very well acted and I was completely enthralled in the storyline. This was my first book by this author but not the first book by the voice-over artist. Neither have let me down. I highly recommend this book.

I found this series with my Audible Unlimited account. I absolutely loved every bit of it. The only reason why I only rated it a 4 was because it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and I totally hate not being able to finish my series once I begin it.

This book was great but predictable. I was hoping it would have a twist but what you expect is what you get. Don't get me wrong. I recommend readers and listeners buy it but I feel that you need to know that you are getting exactly what you are paying for.

I have come to realize that this rollercoaster slow-rush style of writing is the author's writing style. She takes things that were real problems for the time and writes them into being saved by a highlander. I do still get rattled when a part of the storyline gets written off but the stories are still enjoyable.

This book was well written though aggrivating at times. It fluctuates back and forth between being very well written and rushing the storyline. if you don't want the story ti be too long then don't write it that way but don't cut it in ways that are aggrivating to the reader.
