Historia
Jake is working at the neighborhood market under his apartment when the world ends. He expected nuclear war, a computer virus, or even climate change burning everyone to a crisp to bring about the downfall of civilization. But cruel and arbitrary gods from another world? Who would have guessed that? When these cruel gods shuffled Earth like a deck of cards, nothing was in the same place anymore. Monsters, dungeons, and magical items appear scattered across the globe. And suddenly, everyone has access to a new, strange magical card system that gives them magical powers.

Amazing book.
Revisado: 12-04-22
The narration was very good and the book was well written.
It has a slice of western fantasy mixed with some xianxia elements.
Jake here just want a steady life as a shopkeeper but things always spiral out of hand.
I'm looking forward for the next installment of the book given how exciting it was at the end.
One of the most under rated fantasy book in recent years.

Over rated.
Revisado: 03-24-18
Apart from the epilogue, this novel is a bore and Alex Benedict himself is terrible. Not going to read the next book.

The story match the narrators well.
Revisado: 08-21-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Battle Cruiser to be better than the print version?
Haven't read the print version but that seems likely. The story wasn't that amazing but it seems like it was written to be narrated instead. As such it was amazing.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Battle Cruiser?
The final battle sequence.
Which scene was your favorite?
Also the final battle sequence.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, but I wish it was longer.

Wait for book 2.
Revisado: 04-11-17
The narrator was good but the story was cut halfway. The objective was to rescue the girl. The author should have finished it. He could have those dragons and other mysteries in book 2. As it was, there is no closure to this book.

Terrible narrator
Revisado: 03-02-17
Difficult to listen and narrator voice is too sharp and dry. What a shame, the book seems interesting enough. In the end, I couldn't finish listening to it. As it is, even letting cortana narrating it would be an improvement.

Gave a good account on the role of algorithms and its reflection on human behavior. The maths are succinctly explained without having to resort to pen and paper. Great inspirational book.

Good beginning - weak end

Good lecture
Revisado: 02-29-16
Excellent treatise on military strategies however a strong emphasis was given on politics. I also felt very little is discussed on absolute war and some of its consequences such as genocides often employed in ancient wars. This book however is a good representation of acceptable modern war strategy.
